1. nonsense poll
who cares what a bunch of bloggers think he thinks? Why not conduct a poll on what everyone's tea leaves say?

3. The talking heads put in their opinion on the matter
Why not solicit the opinion of people here? It is a discussion forum after all. If you think the poll is not worthy of your participation, skip over it.

2. Edwards said that the people have spoken.
So yes, I think so.

4. I think it implies..
that he is endorsing Senator Obama. They all know that Hillary is waiting for the "catastrophic event", that propels her to the nomination. I hope she doesn't get what she's wishing for, whatever that may be.

5. it doesn't imply any such thing.
It only implies that he believes there is no way she can take it. He looked at the numbers and the trends, and chose Obama.

She, looking at the same numbers and trends, can do whatever she likes. She still won't win.

8. No
Edwards has too much integrity for an endorsement to imply a circumvention of democracy. Sen. Clinton should make that decision herself.

9. Sure, it does.
He thinks the time is right for his decision. While he hasn't called directly for her to drop out (AFAIK), the implication is inescapable.

10. Why would it?
Obama doesn't say she should drop out.

And a poll won't change the fact that your other post was a lie. You pretended it was something John Edwards had said.

13. The post was not a lie.
I made an assertion and you chose not to refute it, for instance.

15. You presented it
as if it was something Edwards had said. That wasn't true, was it?

You could've said "I think Edwards' endorsement means...." but you didn't.

It's not a big deal - I expect nothing less from you. I've never seen one thread you've started that wasn't meant to incite, inflame, divide. I long ago realized it's some sort of twisted performance art on your part.

16. I will have you know that I follow the same journalistic standards as the /Chicago Tribune/.
I have seen them do the thing with the colon. If it is what they said in different words, then they do not use quotation marks, but the colon.

And you have resorted to namecalling like calling people "dickish", which I have never heard outside of DU so it is likely fashioned from some skirting of the rules that is not necessary outside of this forum.

14. half his speech was about how kick ass hillary was... i think he is only endorsing Obama to keep
the party from tearing itself apart, and he thinks that by endorsing Obama that might be accomplished.

I also think that if they hand Obama the nomination before MI and FL are settled, that it will rip the party in two... perhaps permenantly
