BREAKING: Bill Clinton says West Virginia will make the earth move for Hillary Clinton
Edited on Fri May-09-08 02:25 PM by Tropics_Dude83
From Mark Halperin's page:

B. Clinton: West Virginia Vote Can Make “Earth Move”

Getty
Former president tells crowd his wife can still win the popular vote — with their help.
At a firehouse in Madison, says “Hillary can get eighty percent of the vote in West Virginia, and if only 100,000 people show up it is not enough. But if 600,000 people show up…than you will see the earth move. You can do it.” Permalink

And the media will spin this like mad. CNN already plans MASSIVE all night coverage of the West Virginia "critical" primary beginning at 7 ET. Wolf will be on the air saying "this proves Obama can't connect with the most critical voting block, working class whites. Hillary just got herself back in the game in a big way tonight." "Is this a game changer John King." "Oh it certainly is Wolf. This is a whipping."

I expect huge confetti and balloon drops as well.

I am SO dreading Tuesday. Thankfully, Oregon and the pledged delegate majority are just a week after that but prepare for a week of massive HRC comeback stories.

1. They are going to get her off?
Or is that Carol King song not about what I always thought it was about?

6. Obama needs a major endorsement from a critical party figure on Wednesday
To counter this in my opinion. This is going to be spun really badly.

16. She needs to win by 72 points for a win that will help her.
Otherwise she'll need to win with more than 86% of the vote the rest of the way.

3. Don't worry - the SDs will counter any of that
They are coming out for Obama. Magazine covers show Obama to be the winner. The Obama campaign is run by David Axelrod and he has been making the right calls so far. I didn't even know who Axelrod was until this campaign and I have been very impressed, indeed. All will be well, Tropics Dude.

7. 1. she wont win the popular vote....stupid math. but even if she could..so what?
Its like telling a nascar driver they'll win if their car hits can hit 400 miles per hour even though the race officials judge it by who ever is in first place when the checkered flag is waved.

14. When Bill Clinton says "Hillary can get eighty percent of the vote in West
Virginia", isn't that simply bullshit? Nobody gets 80 percent of a state's vote. John McCain is unable to get 80 percent in states where he is unopposed. Does Bill Clinton really think the people of West Virginia are THAT stupid?

25. Bill Clinton is calling for 600,000 votes, yet
the last Democrat to run for President there only got 326,541 votes from Democrats. So, based on that information, it sounds like Bill Clinton is advocating that Republicans for George Bush cross over and vote for Hillary to keep her sham "campaign or whatever you want to call it" going just for the sake of it.

What a sad tragedy they've become.

If you have lost there is nothing to come back to. Don't sweat West Virginia. Besides, Obama might do better there than expected.
