Obama should just call Hillary's bluff.
Bill and Hillary are out of poker faces. We've seen them all. Even the poker face where they wag their fingers when they are bluffing.

Let Hillary "take it to the convention" and let the Clintons exercise their so-called "nuclear option". Let them keep up their threats. Let them scoff at sensible compromises with Michigan and Florida. The more they threaten, the more Americans yawn.

It makes no difference anymore. America has grown very weary of their antics and threats. Hillary is no femme fatale. To paraphrase the line from Cabaret: "She's about as fatale as an after dinner mint."

Senator Obama will either have enough delegates to be the nominee or be within a stone's throw by convention time anyway. So let the Clinton Carnival have their threatened temper tantrum and let the world see them for what they are.

The entire country is now watching how Hillary and Bill behave. Their negatives are almost as high as those of George W. Bush. The Clintons can't get away with their old tricks anymore.

Barack Obama holds every card now.

Senator Obama: Call their bluff.

1. Somebody needs to remind HRC: When you are deep in a hole and can't see daylight...
stop digging.

She now looks to be unhinged and disconnected from reality. Sad really.

4. Actually, she's wrecking not only any shot at the VP, but her and Bill's reputation for good.
At this point, havocmom, they are doing Obama a great favor by continuing. He looks big and they look very, very petty and mean.

2. That's what he's doing
She just is looking foolish at this point, and he looks more the gentleman for going along with her little fantasy now.

5. My 91 year old mom said the same thing this afternoon.
GoesTo11, my mom said that Barack looks like a "gentleman" in how he responds to her continued nonsense.

This is all playing into Obama's hand now.

Let them have their temper tantrum.

3. I have a better idea: How 'bout Obama give her space to think upon what happened...
Let her withdraw on her own schedule. Obama's already given her the deadline - May 20.

It will be over either on that day or the next.

8. She has all the space she wants. He didn't give her any deadline.
She can continue her campaign on to the convention through to Denver, on through November, on through his inauguration and into his first term!

No one can stop her. As my grandfather would say, "She's got more money than sense." And the only thing less sensical than someone wasting money on their lost cause is someone wasting money on someone else's lost cause.

Don't delude yourself further. She's had every opportunity to leave gracefully. After PA for example. Or after Indiana. She CONTINUES to have an opportunity to be able to walk away with at least SOME dignity. But if she continues, especially on this "white" power shit she's talking, she will not have a friend left in this COUNTRY let alone the party.

Urge your maniac candidate to stop.

10. At this point, I'd say just let her and Bill continue embarrassing themselves.
They are turning off the super delegates in droves.

I agree: "She can continue her campaign on to the convention through to Denver, on through November, on through his inauguration and into his first term!"

12. hilary can campaign all the way up past
2012 when the next president is chosen without her going to the white house. She can be the eternal shadow campaign..lying about Democrats and pumping up pubs.

7. The more they do this, the more they look like Bush.
Desperate. Stubborn. Not very intelligent. Appealing to lowest common denominator. More concerned with "looking like a quitter" than "doing the right thing." More concerned with self and comrades than country.

Let them, I suppose, but I think most of us see it for what it really is.

9. I think it reveals a lot about their character that needs to be
shown to the public that have lived through rose colored glasses.

11. I think he's ready to throw his winning hand on the table May 20.
I believe he'll have the magic number by then and we will officially have a nominee.
