1. Why do you think we're of that nature?
But to be honest, what I think will happen is more disappointment than failure.

3. If, per chance
Obama does not get the nomination will you shit on the street and move to Australia??

Will Obama supporters be incredibly sad if/when Clinton drops out? Won't that take some of the wind out of your cult?

7. Oh Wow
yeah dude, first I'll get deprogrammed from the cult of Obama and move then to Australia. Sounds like a plan.

FYI I will be sad when Hillary finally drops out, shit I was all sad yesterday thinking she would, then she insulted Obama, voters and so now I'm not sad. But yeah, she's my age, I'll be sad - it just wasn't to be. She was co-president for 8 years - so I don't feel too terribly sorry for her. Should I, do you want me to feel sorry for her?

11. Feel sorry for her?
Your suggesting vengeance from others on Obama. Your suggesting that only Clinton supporters are disgusting, hateful human beings. Perusing DU-GDP for the past several months I have discovered that is far from the truth.

Despite the disgusting efforts of Obama supporters I will proudly vote for the dem nominee whomever that is as I have done for 30+ years. Strange that a candidate who preaches hope is supported by humans whose seeming only goal is to alienate anyone not currently subservient.

4. Obama is destined to fail if he
becomes President, there is no way he could ever live up to the expectations his followers expect of him.

8. Wrong.
Obama has said its up to US - WE THE PEOPLE - as to what WE want - and the "majority" of us have said what we want is CHANGE. There's a lot we all want - but I have no illusions things are going to all be fixed in the 1st year or even the 1st term. However, if the "intent" is there to in fact change things - than so shall it be. Its really up to us - if we have the right leader who will do the right thing - then the possibilities are endless in what can happen. We know now what we get with the 'status quo' - higher gas prices, illegal wars, torture, pissing on the Constitution in the name of "security" and power grabs.

12. Exactly! I'm not looking for any one person to be the answer.
We - collectively - created this mess and only we - collectively - can get us out of it.

17. "We" collectively don't really accomplish a lot in government.
That's why it's called a REPRESENTATIVE democracy. Somebody has to sponsor and introduce legislation, and shepherd it through to passage; somebody has to be a leader. Obama says he's the one, so I hope you're not disappointed. But I suspect you will be.

Don't forget that power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

19. It's a democracy, for the people BY THE PEOPLE.
We have the absolute greatest power in government, if we're not so lazy and stupid to give it up.

6. I want to see the same thing happen to Obama that his supporterers want to happen to HRC.
I hope Obama has exactly the same success or lack of it that Obama supporters would have wanted for Hillary to have.

If any of them wanted Hillary to fail, then I want him to fail.

If they wanted her to succeed, I want him to.

10. If she had gotten the nomination, I would have voted for her. But a part of me might have hoped
that she didn't win so Obama could get another chance in 4 years. I can understand if some Clinton supporters feel that way this time. But like I said, I would have voted for her, and volunteered, and genuinely wanted her to win. I would have been depressed if she lost but taken some degree of solace knowing Obama might get another chance.

13. This Obama supporter
will work to insure a Democrat is elected to the White House. Whoever that may be.

Are you keeping a scorecard? Is there a running tally going? Will you support Obama if 50% + 1 of his supporters on DU agree to support Hillary in Nov if she's the candidate?

What are you basing your wish on?

32. No one here is capable of "destroying" HRC
She and her campaign are in the position they're in because they couldn't win over more voters. Plain and simple.

And now that she's losing, yet has apparently held the mindset that this nomination CANNOT be anyone's but hers:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07BPFPy6tkE&feature=related (check it out from 2:58 onward)

her campaign has taken desperation measures to try to take the nomination at any cost. Her commitment to supporting the Dem nominee sounds more like insincere lip service by the day.

if obama becomes the nominee...doubt he will become pres...too many things not known about him...and I suspect the repukes have something up their sleeves...

33. As a supporter of Senator Clinton, I can only speak for myself, but
I think you have made some foolish assumptions in your post. I have no wish for revenge and I don't believe the majority of Senator Clinton's supporters harbor that wish. My wish is to have a successful Democratic President and I continue to support Senator Clinton because I continue to feel that she is the person best qualified of the two remaining candidates for that position.

If Senator Obama is the Democratic nominee, as seems likely, I will support him in the same manner I would support Senator Clinton if she were the nominee and hope that he will be able to defeat John McCain in the GE. However, I have some serious reservations about his ability to bring in some of the key swing states that we will need in order to accomplish that defeat.

Posts like yours are not productive and only serve to manufacture more division. This is not helping anyone.

35. The kind of hope that Clinton and Obama inspire is not to be dismissed easily...
...and won't evaporate when a nominee is picked. I will forgive any supporter on either side a tiny bit of sour-grape schadenfreude, since I might feel some myself someday. It should be carefully hidden, though, and for cryin' out loud, it's way too early to go forecasting doom.
