E-mail from Clinton Campaign
Edited on Tue May-06-08 11:37 PM by Goodnevil
Dear Goodnevil,

Tonight's victory in Indiana was close, and a margin that narrow means just one thing: every single thing you did to help us win in Indiana helped make the difference.

Every call you made, every friend you spoke to about our campaign, every dollar you contributed made tonight's victory possible. And I couldn't be more thankful for your hard work.

Every time we've celebrated a victory, we've celebrated it together. And tonight is no exception. This victory is your victory, this campaign is your campaign, and your support has been the difference between winning and losing.

Thank you so much for making this campaign possible. Let's keep making history together.

Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton

20. seriously, it is a sign of..... at least something.
These type of e mails that come out after a primary always include a solicitation for money. This one didn't. If Hillary isn't interested in financing her campaign, that means she is either done, or is at least thinking about it. Which in and of itself is understandable.

11. Hehe the benefits of changing your mind
You get to donate to both campaigns!

Good thing he won the primary because it would have been a pain getting that bumpers sticker off.

5. This was just read on MSNBC.
It is over. Sorry, but you have to know that. We all tried to give our candidate the best shot. Obama is the candidate. I'm truly sorry for your loss. We have to move on- TOGETHER. I hope that is possible.

15. and counter email from Obama campaign.....
We just won a decisive victory in North Carolina thanks to people like you.

Indiana remains too close to call. But what is clear is that we did much better than all the pundits predicted, despite Republicans changing parties to support Senator Clinton, believing she would be easier for Senator McCain to defeat.

Here's where we stand.

As of Tuesday morning, we needed just 273 delegates to clinch the nomination. When the votes are fully counted Wednesday morning, we will have gained more than a third of them in a single day.

We have a clear path to victory. But now is the time for each one of us to step up and do what we can to close out this primary.

Please make a donation of $25 right now:

Thank you for everything you're doing,

Barack

19.  It'd be good for her to be able to exit on a high note
And more importantly for her supporters to be able to pat themselves on the back-

It's been a long, grueling campaign. There have been low blows and heated words but we're still a one big (dysfunctional) family.
The Clinton camp deserves kudos for their victories but the realization has to come that this time, it just wasn't meant to be.
So I don't begrudge them their celebrations tonight and I won't be rubbing it in their face tomorrow.
It's time to start focusing on McCain.
