No flames here, just an honest question. It certainly didn't seem to help her chances any.

2. Of course she will. She is poll driven
and the "poll" tonight basically said it didn't work.

7. I hope not.
I just think it's an issue, a fight, a policy position that clearly shows the dividing line between Hillary and Obama. I'd like to see them debate this thing through the summer or as long as she decides to stay in the race.

9. I disagree. It is an issue that took Wright off the page
And demonstrated that Obama stood for a principle instead of the typical pandering that Washington politics wallows in

Of course, don't be surprised for hillary to attack Obama for his support of a gas tax moratorium. Nothing would surprise me from a proven liar. She is a proven liar. Not worthy of consideration.

8. This may have been a major tactical blunder by the Clinton campaign
One of the pundits just noted that, by bringing up this issue, she helped shift the discussion and coverage away from Rev. Wright to a substantive issue. I think this is right - and it wouldn't have been a problem if it was a rational policy proposal. But the fact that it was: 1) very close to a McCain proposal; 2) seen as blatant pandering; 3) challenged vigorously by Obama, who was able to use it to show that he was willing to take a principled stand, even if it was not the most politically advantageous positon, ended up benefitting Obama and hurting Clinton.

10. I think after today's announcement from the 200 economists that it isn't a good idea, she would
look even more silly if she continues. Leave it to the "man talking to cloud" McCain to continue that folly.
