For those that say Obama isn't tough enough, answer these questions
Edited on Thu May-01-08 09:29 AM by nomad1776
Which of the three candidates has the greatest likely hood of being assassinated if elected? Does it take toughness to put one's life on line?

Which of the candidates was strong enough and tough enough, not to pander to the public, by offering an economically disastrous, gas holiday proposal?

Being a fighter doesn't make one tough, having the self discipline and moral courage to do the right thing and having the guts to risk everything, does

1. In order...
Which of the three candidates has the greatest likely hood of being assassinated if elected? Does it take toughness to put one's life on line?

This will not happen. Only liberals are targetted for killing. The fact that he is still alive is a clear indication that he is NOT liberal.

Which of the candidates was strong enough and tough enough, not to pander to the public, by offering an economically disastrous, gas holiday proposal?

He gets half a point for being right on this.

Being a fighter doesn't make one tough, having the self discipline to do the right thing and having the courage to risk everything, does

He supports the (funding of the) war. He does not support impeachment and holding the Bushistas responsible for their crimes (despite his weak-ass assertion about accountability).

Wellstone's plane went down a week before the election, so there goes your first statement.

As far as your war argument, if he were as principled as Kucinich, he'd also be back at the Capitol by now like Kucinich.

First rule of politics: You have to win to govern.

Fact: There have been no living liberals since Bobby Kennedy.

Addendum: Wellstone wasn't assassinated.

5. Also which one has cried in public
Sorry but the only time I want to see tears on a president's face is when brave americans have died for them, not because they want to be president and are sleep-deprived.

You know I can't help it if you have a 9 inch monitor and can't see what is what.

Yes, I hate her. I will not deny that. But the truth is the truth, she manufactured some tears to get votes.

8. Tough is fighting Clinton, McCain, Wright and the media at the same time
while still winning scores of new superdelegates, remaining competitive in the polls, and inspiring millions of voters young and old.

And he does it calmly and presidentially.

That is why he is going to be our nominee. That is why he is going to be our President.

Yet people still accuse Obama of lacking toughness. Disgraceful!

11. See there is a perfect example of the disingenuous comments coming out of the hillary camp
Although I guess including disingenuous when you are talking about something coming out of camp clinton is redundant.
