2. That's just hysteria...
The Dem vote is divided because the Primaries aren't over yet. If the question was worded differently, McCain would definitely be the loser. For example, if they said, "Who do you want elected as the next president; the Democrat or the Republican"? The results would be very, very different.

So it stands to reason that Hillary would come in second in that poll only to McCain.

10. AOL is pretty much 100% boomers
And boomers have been pretty solidly Repiglican for a long while now. The fact that McDeath is polling low for this demographic is a cause for optimism.
