On Wednesday, Obama needs to start BEING the presumptive nominee
He needs to stop responding to Clinton and start addressing McCain. McCain has had a free ride so far, and Obama needs to start focusing his campaign more on November.

Clinton is broke, she cannot win the nomination (no matter what happens in PA) and thus Obama needs to give her no more energy, most especially when she starts her negative attacks again tomorrow. He keeps feeding her - it is time to let her starve.

2. Yes, he needs to ignore
All of Hillary's negativity, and start addressing the issues that he and McCain will be debating in the GE!

Trying to fend of negative attacks only keeps him from taking on the problems that we need to change, and that change is what we need, not negative politics with Hillary.

4. I agree this is what McCain started doing right after Florida
and before Mittens and Huck got out of the race.

8. Like, "Clinton is an honest person!!"
Fairy tales like that, right? I prefer reality and truth. You can keep the fairy tales.

6. If it works, he's "being presidential." If it doesn't, he's "sitting on his lead" or...
... worse, he's "taking the voters for granted."

I think he's already being presidential.

11. He's certainly less than a perfectly polished speaker. That fucker keeps on thinking while he talks!
I wish to God he would learn to memorize pat answers and simplistic platitudes that he could regurgitate on command. Sadly, this Obama character--like a dumbass--keeps on actually considering the merits and ideas behind the questions asked of him and offers thoughtful, direct responses to them.

I agree, such a clown ain't going nowhere in politics. What on earth could even account for his appeal so far?

Took the words out of my mouth.

It is WE who need to mature, and appreciate intelligence over rehearsed emptyspeak.

12. If the exit polls hold, you're probably right
Back on Super Tuesday, HRC was saying she would ignore then 11 next races because she would make up all the ground in the big firewall states of OH, TX and PA. After a 4% win, that rationale is just 100% dead.

I like your point. This is the time for him and the party to start really focusing on McCain, even if HRC stays in. It's time to stop being polite and framing it in her terms of "anything is possible." She has had a more than fair chance to fight it out, without having anyone really pulling the plug.
