Progressive blogger slams Obama camp for exaggerating over Hillary ad
Kevin Drum, who does not take sides, and you can verify it by visiting his blog the Washington Monthly, today stated that obvious.

Here we have an ad in which Hillary mentions the depression, Katrina, etc,, and at half a second Bin Laden is shown. But Obama supporters are whining because Bin Laden is included as one of the things Americans should be wary of. They also fake outrage and pretend Hillary is playing the "terror card".

Spare me your crocodile tears.

Here are Drum's words:

MORE AD NONSENSE....Are the pro-Obama forces seriously trying to get their troops outraged over this latest ad from Hillary Clinton? Just because it contains a ten-second sequence of presidential crises (Depression, Pearl Harbor, gas crisis, Katrina, etc.) and flashes a half-second clip of Osama bin Laden as part of it? Spare me. Are Democratic political ads no longer even allowed to mention the fact that the next president is going to have to deal with the war on terror?

You can bet you'd be hearing it from some oddly quiet Clinton supporters around here.

7. If Clinton's party had caused the Katrina tragedy, and gas prices to go up, etc.
In that case, McCain's ad would be justified. Just like Hillary's ad, because she is drawing a difference between her and what we have today in America.

recognizable to most. Don't see anything wrong with Clinton using it in the ad. Where can this ad be seen, btw?

One more time: Robert Gibbs' PAC created the Dean-morphs-into-Osama ad, for which Gibbs is credited. Gibbs is Obama's communications director. If anyone can make hay out of Osama any time, anywhere, against anybody, it's Gibbs.

threat to the United States and our interests abroad. Any presidential candidate will attest to that, if they don't then its really naive because thanks to Bush that is the world we "now" live in today.

32. Like it or not, terrorism is something that the next President will have to deal with.
The threat of terrorism is real and Bin Laden not been captured. I can assure you that the Democratic nominee will have to answer questions on this subject during the GE campaign. The way it was handled in the ad was not the same as the constant fear mongering that the RW used during the 2004 election.

35. They should ask some questions
Such as why did we invade the wrong country? The Republicans have had seven years to look for bin Laden--if he's so wanted by them, why don't they have them?

They are not going to use bin Laden. Every time he's on TV, it just reminds folks he's still at large, that Bush has failed with his "dead or alive" BS.

Third Clinton Volunteer Knew Of Smear E-Mail

A third volunteer for Hillary Clinton's campaign was aware of a propaganda e-mail alleging that Barack Obama is a Muslim who plans on "destroying the U.S. from the inside out."
"Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," the email reads. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the U.S. from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level."

Two Clinton volunteers, Linda Olson and Judy Rose, have already been asked to resign from the campaign for their roles in forwarding the e-mail. The AP reported yesterday that Olson, a volunteer coordinator in Iowa County, sent a version of the e-mail to 11 people, including Ben Young, a regional field director for Chris Dodd's campaign. Young passed it on to the AP.

Kerrey Apologizes to Obama Over Remark
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=4031436
Kerrey's mention of Obama's middle name and his Muslim roots raised eyebrows because they are also used as part of a smear campaign on the Internet that falsely suggests Obama is a Muslim who wants to bring jihad to the United States. Obama is a Christian.

The Clinton campaign has already fired two volunteer county coordinators in Iowa for forwarding hoax e-mails with the debunked claim. Last week, a national Clinton campaign co-chairman resigned for raising questions about whether Obama's teenage drug use could be used against him, so Kerrey's comments raised questions about whether the Clinton campaign might be using another high-profile surrogate to smear Obama.
