1. Sounds like a wonderful team
I'd be bummed to lose Kerry as my Senator. But he's also a perfect pick for Secretary of State. Has Wes Clark been out of the military long enough to be eligible for Secretary of Defense? IIRC, you have to hae been out of the military for at least 10 years before you can be eligible to become Sec. of Defense.

7. I like the Edwards AG thing too, but....
as another interesting choice, Clinton would be good. She is a lawyer, and it would give her the chance to nail any repugs that haven't been voted out. Can you imagine? :spank:

Heck post your dream team, I would love to get a dialogue going with who would make up the dream administration.

On that note who do you all think would be great for Chief of Staff and Press Secretary?

14. Well, I'd hope that we don't lose an important Senate or House seat
to fill a Cabinet position. It doesn't really apply to John Kerry, however, since Barney Frank would undoubtedly run for his seat and probably win.

I don't pretend to know that many talented people of either sex to fill cabinet seats. But we could look to some good governors and some good administrators from the private nonprofit and business sectors. A talent for running an administration or an organization would be a top quality I would look for in a cabinet. Not just a bunch of cronies as in the Bush administration, who got their jobs without one qualification. That's the only way to get an efficiently working federal government, something the Republicans don't care about (and actually want to discourage to prove to people that "government doesn't work").

13. One not to overlook
Samantha Power has unbelievable credentials to be Sec of State even if she called someone a monster that should have been off the record.
