5. Yes and no

One topic that has been brought up a lot here is the impact of the "missing" cell phone segment on polls. Part of the question is "Do pollsters rely on random dialers to contact cell numbers?" Answer: not legally, anyway.

Automatic telephone dialing systems, according to the TCPA, cannot be used to contact a cell phone

But the numbers seem to show that the "cell phone only" problem causes little change in poll results anyway, and that "weighting by age" for the 18 to 34 age group can mostly correct for any skewed results.
