I don't want this Iowa Congressman to win re-election. I donated to his Democratic opponent, Joyce Shulte.

You can try to get Steve King out of office by donating to Joyce Shulte at:

1. What that meme always leaves out...
is that those people don't want to join the fraternity. How about if we strip that asshole naked, clip electrodes to his testicles and make him pray to Allah for mercy? Just a college prank?

2. King...
is an absolutely off-the-wall, right-wing whack job. He represents the most conservative part of the state, the southwest corner, always a Repub sure thing. He'd never have been elected anywhere else.

3. they must have settled on that as a talking point
I think Limbaugh came up with that one.

Another one I like is, "it's not as bad as beheading."

4. I wonder if a woman prefers
rape over a quick death. Rape, you have to live with for the rest of your life.

I wonder if Limbaugh would prefer being raped over being killed quickly.

Jeff Christie might . . .

(hope this doesn't get deleted - mind the context)

It's not a question of which is worse. The US is killing Iraqi men, women, and children.

7. Well, duh! Limbaugh is the one trying to say that
one is better than the other.

Personally, I would prefer a quick, near-instantaneous death, as opposed to a slow, torturous death. Even Berg's death was too slow - hence the torture aspect of the beheading. Theoretically, a guillotine was "humane". Depends on how long the brain functions.

I've watched several loved ones waste away due to cancer. I could label that as torture.

I've also had two friends pretty much drop dead where they stand. One, quite literally. Made the news. Was marching in the Memorial Day parade, and dropped dead on the spot. Late 40s, supposedly dead before he hit the ground.

6. I sent him this:
Recently you compared the abuse in Iraq to being a member of a fraternity.

I was a member of Beta Sigma Psi Fraternity. We never forced homosexual acts, beat, or otherwise tortured our members.

What fraternity did you belong to that did these things?

8. Lynndie England, the Sweetheart of Sigma Fry
Wire up those testes, boy, and hit the switch.

What's never said is that when you're undergoing your VOLUNTARY initiation, not only can you get up and leave, but you don't have any serious concerns that they're going to KILL YOU.
