Poll question: For Those Who say They Will Only Vote For Their Candidate in the General Election...
Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 11:18 PM by Kurovski
Let's say your favorite candidate has lost the presidential primary. You have said either to yourself, or to others publicly that you will not vote for your "not-so-favorite" candidate who has now won and will face McCain in the general election.

Your candidate concedes, and requests that their supporters now support the Democratic candidate who is running.

What will you do?

11. LOL!
I think the poll is now better clarified by the heading. It didn't make it in at first as I had it in quotations.

It's for those who have said they won't vote for anyone but their chosen candidate.

You, like me, have always intended to vote for the Dem.

9. So then, you've never said you wouldn't vote for the "opposition", as it were?
You've always intended to vote for the Democrat?

Then your choice would of course be #7.

6. I would be NOBODY BUT OBAMA until I heard McCain's campaign promises.
Then I'd be ANYBODY BUT MCCAIN.

17. Four more wars?
No thanks. It's a Democrat all the way. Hillary is my least-favorite Democratic candidate, but she's light years ahead of the best Republican.

Period.

10. I'm in a sort of limbo area with regards to this poll.
I'm not a supporter of either, though I like Obama a bit better than Hillary.

I most likely will not vote for Hillary, but there's a caveat: I live in Mass and the race here will almost certainly be a Dem blowout for either one, leaving me free to vote, or not vote, as I see fit for me.

I will say this. If she wins, and the race here is close, I'll bite the bullet and vote for her.

Which will be a swing state I think.

Too many things to take into consideration, can't decide yet.

18. I will vote for my candidate, no matter what.
I will not stay home, because it's important to support my local Democratic candidates.

I will never vote for McCain.

I will not vote for Obama.

If needed, I will write Hillary's name on my ballot.

my candidate, should he concede, to do so. Therefore I vote in this poll for my future VP, and the most dashing fellow on DU. :hi:

26. I will vote for Clinton whether Obama asks me to or not
But if she were the nominee, I'd probably be more inclined to volunteer if he asked me to. Dean made a big push to get his supporters to volunteer for Kerry in 2004, and that made a difference for me.

30. I won't need my candidate's instructions to
vote for the Democratic nominee in November. Democrats need to remember the potential continuing damage to the SCOTUS before voting for any Republican.

This is the most important issue, in my opinion.
