Do you believe ANYTHING this administration says?
Edited on Tue May-25-04 10:03 AM by in_cog_ni_to
I find myself not believing one thing that this administration says or does. Last week, Senator Jeff Sessions (Repub) was on C-SPAN and said that one problem we have in Iraq is Al Jazeera TV reporting lies, exaggerations and untruths to the Arab/Muslim/Iraqi population and OUR politicians being outraged by the abuses and OUR media keeps the scandal on TV. My first thought was..."I believe Al Jazeera is reporting the truth and facts, not the U.S. media. Our media has covered the chimps ass from day one of "shock and awe." Ever since the Abu Ghraib scandal, I trust NOTHING coming from this administration! I always "questioned" what they said, but now I just don't believe anything they say. We still wouldn't know about Abu Ghraib had someone not turned over the photos to the media. They were hiding this scandal hoping to bury it. The wedding attack the other day was reported as terrorists with money and guns. Then a video tape of the wedding surfaces. How about you? Do you believe anything that this administration says? Are they all pathalogical liars, like I think they are?

...not a damn thing. And unlike prior administrations, including his fathers, I'm not just skeptical of what they say, I'm TERRIFIED by what they don't say and what they seem capable of.

6. Not a word
Until Joe Wilson came out with the truth about the uranium, I figured they were spinning like crazy and leaving out the parts they didn't like. I never heard anyone in government just out-and-out lie the way they do. Not even Nixon.

11. They are so BLATANT
and no one seems to care that they are. Do we yet know who outed Valerie Plame? NO! Does anyone seem to care that Rummy signed off on the abuses at Abu Ghraib? No! Does anyone care that they lied about WMD? No! Does anyone care that we killed many children, men and women who were attending a wedding and LIED about it? No! What the hell is wrong with this country? :grr:

7. Nope.
Come on, they lie about the weather. The freakin' weather. Anyone with internet can prove them wrong in 2 minutes. But they still do it.

I certainly doubt the truth about anything that could possibly make them look bad, if presented differently.

9. not a chance
But hey, 2+ inches of rain can last a week...in Texas...in weather likely in the 80's or higher...on the surface...you know it.

No, I don't think I ever believed a single word they say. Ever. Their policy is CYA...cover your ass...And that's all they know how to do. Oh wait, they also know how to cheat, make shit up, distort facts, and anything else that could possibly be dishonest...I think they rape goats too. Wouldn't be surprised. Then they donkey punch them.

10. The only thing I believe
is the violence in Iraq will escalate prior to and after the handover. We have a failed foreign policy and all we get from the chimp is "trust me".

I am to the point that any information this administration offers, the opposite must be true.

12. ANOTHER thing they are doing...
I heard a report this morning that terrorists are now getting arms in Syria and training there. SYRIA is going to be attacked next. I KNOW that is their agenda. This report is just the build up to it. These people are sick...I mean mentally deranged!

17. Maybe that's why Bush will ask for more troops.
He'll lie and say they are for Iraq's security but he'll send them off to attack Syria and lie again when he splains that by sending troops to Syria is really protecting Iraq...and he didn't really flip-flop. He's a bla-bla, bla-bla lier.

13. In fact, it is one of the basic tenets of the Straussian doctrine
that the leaders should lie ( the concept of a noble lie) to the masses because the masses would interfere with the noble missions the leaders set out to accomplish. This is why Rumsfeld hired Poindexter to prepare a Total Information Dominance Plan that would create a fog of lies through which it would be impossible to detect the truth.
9/11,the rationales for the War on Iraq, Nick Berg's execution,
all the lies spread about Al Gore during the election were orchestrated to monpolize the News with the lies generated by Bush hangers on in the Press.

To answer your question: NO.

That the reason General Sanchez was transferred was because it's just a part of the "regular" rotation???? It didn't have ANYTHING to do with the fact that he was present during the Abu Ghraib abuses. :eyes: Damn liars! They tell the truth about NOTHING!!!!!!

28. Are the terrorists really coming...or just planning a big surprise party?
Is Kerry really a terroristic agent...or did he do the patriotic thing when voting for the IWR?

Does waving flip/flops at Kerry increase a person's trust for Georgy, or decrease this trust for the U.S. Government?

Should we accept ads ripping Kerry for being a risk to national security just as we would administration warnings of expected terrorist attacks, or is one more dishonest than the other?

Do we simply accept a vague description of an unspecified weapon which could be used by an unknown group of terrorists anywhere, sometime this summer...or just ignore this warning and suffer the consequences for not obeying our empire's ruler?

29. When I saw the report last night
Edited on Wed May-26-04 07:05 AM by in_cog_ni_to
about a possible terrorist attack this summer OR in Oct.-Nov......right before the election....My thought was 'how predictable can these people be?' My g-d. We knew 2 years ago that they were going to do this. We knew we would have a warning from the gov. about a terrorist attack right before the 2004 election because they think the American people won't want to change the leader of our country if we are under a terrorist threat/attack. :grr: SOMEONE needs to call them on this. Someone needs to point out the fact that we know what they're doing! This crap looks like "the boy who cried wolf." They keep giving their damn warnings, people ignore them, nothing happens, they give the warning, people ignore it, nothing happens, they give the warning, people ignore it, and nothing happens......now what??? When it DOES actually happen, people will not be prepared. They are playing with our lives, my family's lives and I resent the hell out of it, ESPECIALLY now because it's for political gains. It's a deliberate attempt to frighten the citizens of this country and/or let an attack happen so the repubs can retain power.

On the other hand ...I'm reading Richard Clark's book, "Against All Enemies" and in it he talks about the "Homeland Security" and how Tom Ridge was not given enough money to fund it the way it should be funded. NO NEW FUNDS were allocated for Homeland Security! THAT can come back to haunt the chimp. Homeland Security is a joke. It's a name of a Dept. That's it. It's under funded and under staffed. Is this deliberate? Do they want mid 2004 attack to set themselves up for a win in Nov.? I happen to be of the thinking that this administration let 911 happen so they could have an excuse to attack Iraq. Why would the 2004 election win be any different? These people are evil! BUT, Do the sheeple give a shit? Do they know what's going on? Will they believe that their Government would do such a thing? Hell no. They're stupid enough to believe their Gov. did everything in it's power to protect this country and they will vote for the asshole. :(

We have 3 scenarios here. 1. We can have alert after alert after alert and no attack happens but the sheeple vote for the chimp out of fear of an attack and don't want to change the prez in the midst of the threats. 2. We have alert after alert and they let an attack happen and the sheeple will vote for the chimp because we just can't change the prez in the middle of such an horrific event. (never mind he should be voted OUT for NOT protecing the country...these are sheeple, you know) 3. We have an attack and the chimp declares martial law and suspends the election. :( This administration will use this for political gain whichever way you look at it. :grr:
