E Pluribus Wiggum (Ralph for President!)
I was rather surprised that Sunday's episode of The Simpsons did not elicit any response here, then I did a Google check and found that it had originally aired back in January as the first episode of the new year.

Anyway, it was hysterical: Springfield changes the date of their presidential primary to be the first in the country, and all the media descends on the town. Disgusted at the media circus, Springfielders decide to write-in the most unlikely candidate they can find: Ralph Wiggum, the police chief's son.

Sadly, the media does not get the joke, and they start hailing Ralph as the frontrunner. Both the local Republican and Democratic parties try to recruit him, and representatives of both groups surround the Wiggum house and break in. When Lisa tries to intercede, Ralph says that, as president, he would stop war and work for peace. Both parties decide to endorse him, and the episode ends with a "Ralph For President" commercial sponsored by the Democrats and the GOP.

So, since he as been endorsed by the Democratic Party, can I announce my support for Ralph Wiggum, at least until the National Convention picks a nominee?
