Clinton widens leads over Obama in PA. 53-41
Sen. Hillary Clinton has widened her lead over Sen. Barack Obama in the Pennsylvania Democratic presidential primary battle, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

Sen. Clinton now leads Sen. Obama, 53 to 41 percent among likely primary voters, the poll said. This compares to a 49 to 43 percent Sen. Clinton lead in a Feb. 27 poll. In that survey, the momentum was with Sen. Obama, who had narrowed a 52 to 36 percent gap from a Feb. 14 poll.

In the latest survey, the split between black and white voters has grown. Sen. Clinton has widened her lead among women likely Democratic primary voters and narrowed Sen. Obama's lead among men.

• White voters go with Sen. Clinton 61 to 33 percent, compared to 56 to 37 percent Feb. 27.

• Black voters back Sen. Obama 76 - 18 percent, compared to 69 - 23 percent Feb. 27.

don't make me look like a Hillary supporter. I am simply saying that she will win, but its a matter of how much she wins by.

9. Hillary will win by 20+
Here is an observation made in the article:

"The momentum is clearly Sen. Clinton's as she firms up her traditional coalition of women, white males, non-college, rural and older voters in Pennsylvania," said Clay F. Richards, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. "Her endorsement by Philadelphia's black Mayor, Michael Nutter, is cutting slightly into Obama's overwhelming edge among black voters, but clearly the split among black and white voters is growing."

Obama's attempted Racial Divide is hopefully being tempered by cooler heads prevailing.

37. Just because BILL's comments drove more black voters to him after SC
doesn't mean it was Obama playing the race card. Had BILL not opened his
big mouth with the Jesse Jackson comparison, that switch might not have
occurred. NOT historical fact, just PROJECTION ...

46. Clinton has been involved in politics for Eons..
He is always very careful with his words...NO! IT WAS THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN that chose to twist CLinton's words into something far away from their intent. Clinton quoted the statistical facts from the Jackson campaign and the Obama campaign turned into a racial attack on Obama.

thats a full month which is a life time in politics. Now I'm not saying she will not win PA which looks likely but it will be closer than what these stupid polls are saying.

24. And that should clinch the nomination
And no that doesn't make me happy. I am not judging the candidates (frankly I dislike them both). I am judging the "Party" and especially the "leadership" of the party.

I think a lot of people will be very disappointed to learn how republican the Democratic Party can be. The party name is just a brand anymore, not a reflection of philosophy.

The "superdelegates" are waiting for justification for backing Clinton; a big win in a big state closed primary is all they need. If you think they really care about the popular vote, you are about to take a bath in cold water. They will credit momentum, maybe even call it a surge. That would be appropriate.

So then the ticket will end up being Clinton / Obama.

They never should have forced Edwards out of the race.

I do hold out some hope for a dead-locked convention and a Gore draft, but that is looking more and more like a wish.

The sad part is that McCain will easily beat either Clinton or Obama. It doesn't matter. Why? Because there is
NO MARGIN TOO LARGE TOO STEAL ANYWAY!
A lie is a lie, and the bigger the lie, the more likely the public will buy.

33. This is the baseline to see whether or not it's possible for a black politician to talk about race..
... to a white audience - whether or not those numbers go up or down as a result of today's speech (as sugarcoated as it was so that white folks' tender sensibilities wouldn't be upset).

My bet is that his numbers will go down more. Would love to be wrong tho.
