I have been begging Obama for many months to fully apologize for his baiting with McClurkin, in part to build a strong wall between personal faith and public policy, to build a fire wall for the Wright stuff, which I knew would come. He stood by the homophobes calling them 'good, decent, moral people'. So one kind of bigot is damnable, but another is hireable and understandable. That is wrong. Obama chose to mix hard core and divisive chruch figures directly into his campaign. He was begged not to include the bigots, but he did it anyway. When a man who sang for Bush many times got up on Obama's stage and bashed gays openly and by name, Obama refused to apologize, refused to say it was a mistake, and has thus far refused to even promise that he will not let these preachers attack in his name again. Instead of a wall between church and state, he in fact promised that no matter how gay people complain about it, he will continue to listen to the arguments from the bigots he so admires as moral people. He did not think Don Imus was moral or decent. And that, like it or not, is that. If I have to support him as our nominee, without a clear promise of no more gay baiting, it will be the last thing I do for this Party out of loyalty. It will be a whole new ballgame. I've been feeling unwelcome in my lifetime Party for months, due to Obama and his Bush loving gay hating Preachers. How in the hell is that right in any way, shape,or form? It is not.
