backing him instead of "Bomb, Bomb" McCain. And now my prediction that Sen. Clinton will be close to 200 pledged delegates behind by the PA primary is coming true. So, Sen. Clinton is done....

1) Attempts to change rules she agreed to after the fact.
2) Endorses the Republican candidate over a potential Democratic candidate.
3) When lagging behind in delegate count, offers the VP to the leader.

10. Gosh, Hillary stuck with Bill all these years in spite of his wandering actions
I wonder how many people have attended a Church, and continue to do so after something offensive, from what they believe is preached?

guilt by association is WRONG

If you want to make an issue out of this, then maybe I should make an issue out of Hillary's vote for the use of cluster bombs in civillian areas during war? I guess I can assume she has no regard for civillians. Is that logic fair?

You see, Obama already won you Hillary supporters (not all) and Hilary are in denial.

But this pastor thing is good. It's good because Obama has months to smooth this out.

You don't know the rule of politics. Since I'm a political junkie, I've heard this often enough, so I'll pass it on to you: When the opponent is sinking on his own, stay out of the way and don't become part of the story.

You don't hear the Clinton camp making any comments on this, do you? That's because they don't need to say anything. It's bad enough on its own. To join in and pile on might make Obama's supporters join together once again.

Get it?

Here is the DLC glowing praise of NAFTA fresh from http://www.dlc.org/ndol_ci.cfm?contentid=254473&kaid=131&subid=192"> from their website.

"Since the enactment of NAFTA, for example, "per capita income rose by at least 16 percent in every state except for three of the most geographically or culturally anomalous -- Alaska, Hawaii and Louisiana, each of which registered income growth between 5 percent and 9 percent."

Check out this website and understand where Hillary is really coming from when she is not blowing smoke.

14. Well, on Intrade he's basically a 72/28 favorite
Edited on Sat Mar-15-08 02:09 AM by Awsi Dooger
Down about 4% today. It was 86/14 before Ohio and Texas.

I would play Obama at 65 or less. I'm a Hillary supporter but I certainly believe there's value to taking Obama and giving 2/1.

I've been wrong about plenty this cycle but at least the two wagers I've made in calendar year 2008 have been successful, Hillary to win California and Ohio. Both at basically even money, which was a farce. The inept Zogby polls drove down the California price to absurd level, and overconfidence in Obama momentum made the Ohio price a ridiculous departure from demographic realities.

Otherwise, the Democratic ticket is about 60/40 theoretical likelihood to prevail. Obama if wagered individually is about 45%, which means 45 to win 55. If you really believe Hillary will win the nomination and the presidency, it's slightly more than 4/1, last I checked. She was trading about 18%.

I guess I should throw in the "for information purposes only" qualifier, "not meant to encourage wagering." Some radio show I used to be on in Las Vegas always included that wimpy finale.

On edit: I forgot to mention Obama has been a heavy favorite to win super delegates, about 72/28 but that changed noticeably today, at least the last trade was a big jump in Hillary's price, about 45. The theory is Obama will eventually be deemed the rightful nominee and therefore the late undecided super delegates, and even many of the now-committed ones, swarm toward Obama. But apparently some traders assess the current controversy as more of a chance that she maintains the super delegate edge.

24. you find a parody of LaVerne and Shirley to be inspirational?
It does remind me that I would vote for LaVerne, Shirley, Lenny, Squiggy, Mrs. C, Joanie, Chachi, Fonzie, Ralph, or Potsie before I'd vote for Hillary.

Make all our dreams come true? That's kinda hard, since my dream is that she drops out of the race and goes back to Arkansas.

So I certainly hope Obama can still win the nomination, or if he cannot, that he gives his delegates to Edwards.

There is no way. I have only a slight preference for Obama, but anyone who doesn't think this nomination
process isn't over is either 1) privy to insider information on how the Clinton campaign intends to steal it
or 2) deluding themselves.

It's over.

Obviously the guy with the website who spends two hours a day analyzing the site.

47. I'm still hoping for a miracle to win it for her, but I don't think that miracle has happened yet.
I think the Wright thing will cause Obama problems in the general, but unless there's something else, it won't hurt him in the primaries. At least not enough to swing the nomination, if at all.

I've been here too long to post cheerleading stuff. I'm just saying what I see, and what my experience tells me.

I'm also torn over the whole thing. I don't like or trust Obama as a candidate, but I would rather see him lose on real issues rather than on flim-flam stuff like the Wright story. Then again, by the same token, I don't think Clinton should be hurt by her Ferraro association, either, so I'd probably get over it if he were hoisted by his own petard.

And his judgment about Iraq has proven to be right. I didn't like that Hillary voted for the war. I didn't like that Hillary basically said she was duped into voting for it. Even I knew Bush was lying. And I don't like how she has managed her campaign. And now they want FL and MI to count when they all agreed that they wouldn't. Don't you see how much this resembles the 2000 election that was stolen from us? Weren't you pissed about 2000? I am still pissed about that. I don't like all this fighting amongst ourselves over this. I supported them in the 90's through all the shit that happened. Cheating in an election only divides us and that is what I hate the most. And yes I do have some doubt about Rev Wright and what Obama knew and didn't to be honest. But Obama isn't saying he agrees with it. They both have issues. But it's the changing of the rules in the middle of the game that I dislike the most. And I think that is what a lot of us feel who support Obama.

If this issue takes down Obama, the racial divide in this country will be the worst it has been in the past 20 years. I have little doubt that Hannity was carrying Hillary's water on this one. I watched Hannity tonight, and any left leaning person would be left feeling completely sick. You, on the other hand, see it as a point of celebration. Sorry, I can't get behind that sentiment.

I honestly cannot see why else you would be so brain dead about a weak, triangulating, machine politician unless you were passionately in love with her.

What is there to like?
Her voice which is poorly modulated and carries all the passion of a Borg assimilant?
Her position on the war which, at best, is she didn't think that use of force meant use of force and anyway Condi lied to her?
Her campaign which has run the gamut from patronising, through insolence, indolence, condecension, incompetetence and straight into sh*t slinging?
Her dirty donors - who outnumber the ridiculous Rezco by about 20 to 1?
Her religious friends, who are mainly republican?
Her crush on McCain?
Her inability to see her husband's multiple infidelities?

Please tell us - or give us the address of the pharmacist who supplies your happy pills!

147. Um..... Yeah!
Obama is vastly more electable than Hillary. She has huge negatives. A big, big chunk of the electorate just can't stand her. This Wright thing is waaaay overblown in Hillary supporters' minds. You are getting yourself all excited for nothing. She is still far behind in delegates. Obama will get the nomination.

I just don't see how he can defend the indefensible! Most of his campaign is about "perception." Change, hope, unity, etc. How do you reconcile that with a 20 year close association with all that hate speech.

If I turn it around to Hillary, I think she would be finished. I would no longer support her............

I'll support him if he is the "presumptive nominee" of the Democratic party. If Hillary wins the nomination, I'll support her. And that is as positive as this Kucinich & Edwards supporter gets in this election cycle.

Peace.

How many net delegates has HRC picked up in the last several weeks. You can even count the Texas/Ohio primaries. I mean with that momentum and the Wright story she has made a big dent in the lead, right? You are celebrating for some reason, right? LOL

Just like "ready" isn't really from Hillary, but it would still be stupid for Obama or his supporters to steal it for the campaign.
