I refuse to cower to the Right-Wing smear machine
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 06:53 PM by Cant trust em
So we all know that the Right-Wing peddles lies and makes their living trudging through slime. They wrote the book on mudslinging and introduced a term into our popular lexicon that embodies dirty politics. Swiftboat is a term we probably see every day on DU. They'll call their own grandmother a whore if it will win them an election.

Since all of this is common knowledge to us, I have to ask, what are we going to do about it? Are we going to cower in fear about what they're going to throw at us next? Are we going to let them dictate who we can nominate to office? Are we going to continue to let them slap us around the political landscape? No, no, and NO! I'm sick of it.

Karl Rove has gotten into our heads so deep that we're willing to blow off the most inspirational candidate I've seen just because he's got some skeletons in his closet. Let's be clear, whoever we nominate will be subjected to the black imagination of morons like Rove. It's inevitable. He's the Dr. Seuss of lies. Unlimited imagination can create a fantastic world of falsehoods. I'm not going to let these assholes affect what we do anymore. I'm going to continue to support the candidates I feel are the most effective leaders. If Rove & Co. want to try to slander us, then so be it. Bring it on, Karl.

2. i almost love listening to RW radio....
it's a vice, i realize...but it actually keeps me aware of how different some people are from myself...what they actually believe, what they want to hear...

and, sometimes, it makes me feel like maybe America is headed in directions WORSE than we even imagine...

which helps to snap me awake and energized to fight those bastards with all i can, while i can....
