What is the stupidest thing your senator/congressman ever did?
After watching Lisa Murkowski try and minimize her last
name in a campaign ad, I thought about her dad, Frank,
appointing her to his senate seat when he was elected
governor.

What is the stupidest thing your guys/gals ever did?

Our boy, Don Young, got a couple of billion to make a
2 mile bridge over the cook inlet to end up at a place
that has only one resident, no houses.

He's proud of himself, the ******

18. Findspine's a constant frustration
At least she's unassailable due to her moderate stances, but just when she pipes up about something that matters (Junior and Dickie dodging her on the energy rip-off) she backs off. She's an exasperation with legs, but at least she's more or less with the team. Sort of. On occasion. When the wind is right.

31. How about Mark Souder
“The only law that clearly established broke that I can see so far is he had sex with consenting minors. Do you send tanks and government troops into the large sections of Kentucky and Tennessee and other places where such things occur?” --Representative Mark Souder (R., Indiana), criticizing the federal government's actions at the Waco siege in an interview last month in a local newspaper; Souder defended his remarks last week, in part by noting that when he had made them, he was aware only that Koresh had slept with 14-year-olds, not 10-year-olds as testified to at the congressional hearings on Waco.

So why aren't you running for OK-2 yelladawg? Boren, Jr. just isn't too inspiring... :)

Dayton - nothing too bad, although he's voted the wrong way a couple times and said a few things during the invasion that I wasn't too fond of (even though he opposed it for the most part)

Coleman - already mentioned above, plus plenty of other lame things he's done and said.

Gutknecht - nothing in particular, just votes the party line on pretty much everything (two exceptions: importing perscription drugs and the Medicare plan, and NCLB). but cosponsoring the Federal Discrimination Amendment probably pissed me off the most.

In the State Senate, I have John Hottinger, the former Senate Majority Leader last year, who is a pretty nice guy and overall pretty liberal, but was a very weak leader who let Pawlenty walk over him too many times.

sexually harrassing women isn't just stupid, it's criminal.

And even though I live in California, I have personal knowledge of an act of stupidity committed by Sen. George Allen (R-VA) long ago.
He sprayed the walls of his own high school with racist graffiti - actually anti-white graffiti- hoping to stir up a little racial hatred.

Two neanderthals of questionable character who, in a just world, would never hold a position of public trust.

How silly of him to think they'd quit cowering under their desks and get behind he who would not be intimidated.
