19. He's winning WOMEN voters, not just black women ...
and he's winning MEN not just black men. Keep trying to "slice-and-
dice" it if you like but when he's winning the majority of women in
general, her base is slipping away.

They lean, but do not vote as a block.

28. So her base is eroding because she lost in Mississippi as expected?
Makes sense to you, maybe.

How can you use Mississippi as a barometer of her national situation?

In Mississippi?

I posted this on another thread, but it fits here nicely also.

<snip>On Dec. 30, when Hillary Clinton wrapped up with George Stephanopoulos on the ABC Television Sunday talk show "This Week," she signed off by absently summarizing the primary season: “It’ll be over by Feb. 5.”<snip>

I just love this little excerpt.

36. But you said that her base was eroding, you didn't mean compared to February
You meant compared to the state of her base just before the Mississipi vote.

If you meant that her base was eroding compared to February, then that was just a weird analysis.

I really don't put stock in exit polls
They are amusing and can be insightful, but they are not scientific and the only numbers that matter are real votes.

That being said, Obama will win Missouri and increase his delegate lead.

I'm pretty happy about that!

These numbers are confusing. Black women are more likely to vote for Obama, probably? So how can you count them as two categories? Know what I mean?

I presume a lot of females that vote for Obama are African-American.
If Obama is getting 90 % of black vote, it only stands to reason at least half of black voters who vote for Obama are female.

21. pukes?
Can't we just call them Republicans (or Repubs for short, I suppose)? I mean, they are Americans too. I'm a hardcore leftie (with socialist sympathies), but derogatory comments like that seem unhelpful both for America and the Democratic Party. We should certainly distinguish between Republican voters and the massive failures of the Republican Party -- especially given that many (though not all) Republicans are disenchanted with their party.

Well, that's just my opinion anyhow.

which he won by like 90%. All the stat you quoted does in split that huge vote between genders.

c'mon

He only got 27% of the white vote, which was a very much smaller percentage overall.
