there was a vid clip here or in the pol vid section last week or so, someone interviewing him - one question was about his even keelness and his lack of angry responses.

paraphrasing his response. He says he doesn't get angry very often - he takes people at face value and can accept fair criticism and gives the benefit of a doubt. But, he said, if he knows that someone is Trying to make him angry, he won't sit back and take it. He won't respond with a temper, as that is more Michelle's style than his, but he will respond and hit harder than any temper tantrum fit could.

and he was so laid back and easy going and smilley and jokey in that interview,
i just don't see any phoniness about him - he doesn't have to factcheck all his previous lies in order to know how to answer a current question - like, ahem, someone else we all know.
