This in-party fighting and the attacks have to stop.
This my humble plan for the best of the party and the future of this country.

Clinton and Obama need to get together, behind closed doors, and agree to the following.

1. Stop attacking each other! Debate plans and policies, but no attacks, personal, veiled or otherwise.

2. Agree to count Michigan and Florida if they will hold new primaries or caucuses or find other equitable division of their delegates.

3. Agree on an end date in the not too distant future and before the convention.

4. As of that end date the person who is ahead is our nominee and the other candidate is the VP.

5. FIX THIS COUNTRY!

1. Oh, please, The theory is nice, the reality is Obama had better
deflect the mud that's coming his way from Hillary's kitchen sink, or he will be savaged and defeated, a la John Kerry.

3. Actually, I think the deflecting needs to come from the VP & other Dems.

I also believe that we need to go on the attack against McCain, not each other. Ads showing him with Bush and his support of Bush's policies. Ads of his musical talents; "Bomb, Bomb, Iran". Ads questioning if we can take four more years of the same. Let the Repubs go on the defensive and keep them there. I am sooo ready to play their dirty game.

2. I agree entirely
The only possible outcome of all the mud flinging is that both candidates get so filthy no one will want to vote for them. Why should we be expected to ignore all the slime just because one or the other becomes the nominee?

4. oh lawdz
Naivete does not suit you.

Somebody has to win. When that person wins, we need to all get to work for them. Until then, enjoy the fireworks, or support your candidate.

All this speculated damage that a lengthy primary race does is negligable at best. I think folks buy into the bizarre media-created storylines way too much.

5. I am anything but naive, I just know what is at stake.

No one should let their ego get in the way of fixing our country.
And if we continue the way we have been going neither candidate can support the other with any degree of believability.
