KO, please stop giving BO the B.....er... preferable treatment
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 03:44 AM by Buve
The ghostbuster thing was offensive. and then he spent the next 20 min defending BO with all of the usual suspects.

KO, I <3 you on Bush, but get out of this mess.

8. even if it was

Even if it was he shouldn't manipulate it.... Not on a news program.

9. I saw that version of the ad on MSNBC a couple times during the day
It wasnt him who manipulated it...and why the hell not? Give me a breaak. FFS KO has oddball on his show everday, so what's the damn difference? And even KO said that the Ghostbuster's thing was a mistake, as they meant to show the real ad. Jesus Fucking Christ.

3. He's become sadly self important...it's all gone to his head. He was a sportscaster before.
It's all about the Keith show now...whatever he thinks...no need or room for trying to maintain a sense of fairness.

13. I've been calling MSNBC 'FOX NEWS 2' lately. They've chalked up more sexism than O'Reilly's loofah.

19. No it's not the network we'd REALLY like to see...
it's MSM so you can't expect all that much.

...but it's still better than what we had during the total media eclipse, ie. before the Selections of 2004.

So I'm thankful for some improvement, even while I don't depend on it.

22. Agreed...I say that because KO has lambasted O'Reilly's sexist loofah and MSNBC has been
vying for the championship with this election. More blatant, revolting sexism has leaked out of there, FOX and O'Reilly don't even have to try right now!

I've got nothing to watch for long stretches now.....before clicking over to Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares or old Star Trek reruns.

I hope they learn something from this and it evolves a bit...gets better.:)

28. complain about sexism to the network
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 12:32 PM by marions ghost
that's the only way...if enough people complain maybe it gets perceptibly better. You can input directly to Countdown. Maybe Keith is somewhat more likely to hear it. Tweety's sexism is so much a part of his being it's probably not worth it. They do have that great Rachel Maddow on there, who in herself is an antidote.

Ha ha--I like Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares too and I'm not much of a cook. I wish Ramsey could go up there to Washington and bring the standards up (ie. kick ass) --talk about scorched earth.

Maybe with a new commander of the starship ;-)

16. I'm kind of surprised to see that photo on a democratic site!
Oh well. Their dog Buddy was too cute, and I was a little sad when I read he got out of the Clinton's home and was killed by a car a couple of years ago.

12. I stopped watching KO a long time ago.
...long before he started his bias against Hillary Clinton. Keith has a self-importance about him that I find objectionable and extremely unpleasant. He reminds me of a liberal version of Bill O'Reilly. They are two sides of the same coin, so it's no wonder they are always at war.

14. I appreciated his editorial remarks about Bush at 1st, then it clearly became about KO himself.
and a real bore. Very self important.

The way he hawked and praised his own book was gross. He isn't Stephen Colbert!

15. Hillary has been the one on the attack
and personal attacks primarily, not issues based... so she's frankly turned off a lot of core democrats. I think if Barack gets more aggressive and on offense, as long as he doesn't stray into the personal stuff, that dynamic will likely remain in place. HRC will continue to intimidate the non partisan MSM, but the partisan ones likely will continue to show their disgust with her.

20. KO is probably the best News guy left out there right now.
Would you like him better if he wore a "I heart Hillary" button on his lapel?

Why do we always feel the need to shoot the messenger?
When Obama fucks up KO will call him out on it.
Geeze people do we need separate news channels too?
HNN or ONN

of Chris Matthews, Lou Dobbs and then Wolf Blitzer pushing Hillary's losing candidacy, it's REFRESHING to finally see something positive for Obama in the Corporate Media.

27. KO
Countdown Is the only newsshow fair to Obama and not loving Hillary and Mccain. From now on that Is my sole TV news.Funny how befre he was suppossly biased for Hillary and now because he calls her on her stuff he Is biased for Obama. He calls all(both Democrats and Republicans) out.Hillary fans have Dan Abrams on MSNBc,and all of CNN,and Mccain has Fox news, and Chris matthews, and other Republicans on MSNBC.God forbid the guy ahead In Delegates, and who often polls better than Mccain has one place to get fair coverage.

Many people I know have stopped watching him because he has become so offensive.

Not only his words, but his tone.
