I thought Hillary made one of her best speeches tonight. Congrats - you had a good night!

Congrats to all hillary supporters.

I can't say I'm thrilled about the thought of dragging the nomination process on and on, and I am very worried that it will make the general election a contest when it should have been a no-contest blowout for any democratic candidate. But, Hillary had a great night, and she gave what I think was one of her best speeches tonight.

If you know anything about me now, you know that I am as much of a straight political junkie as I am an Obama supporter. And I commend Hillary for the fact that her campaign seems to have coalesced around strong messaging. Tonight was the first night that her talking points (no slam, all candidates have talking points) didn't seem awkward or rehearsed. And after a serious falter after super tuesday, it realy does feel like her campaign has found its footing again.

I'm not afraid to say all this stuff, because I never thought for a second that we would go through an entire primary process without the Clinton campaign figuring out the problems and coming back tough.

I really do believe Obama is the best choice to be the next President, and I believe it for a lot of very specific reasons that don't often get talked about. And yes, I still see no realistic way for Clinton to overcome the raw math nor do I believe that superdelegates will go against Obama if he holds on to the popular vote, pledged delegate lead and the most won states.

However, I'm not going to lie to you. Deep in my heart, what I really want more than anything right now is to have a nominee. Clinton or Obama - I think at this point the longer this thing goes on the worse it is for us.

Still... that commentary aside. Sincere congratulations on this great night, especially to those of you in Ohio, Texas and RI who actually volunteered and were out there campaigning - hopefully someone has bought you a drink! :toast:

I watched her speech tonight and was thinking it was one of her best also. Usually Hillary does best in more intimate settings; interviews, town hall meetings, debates etc. But she had a solid Democratic theme tonight, and she made a convincing case for it.

I appreciate your attitude. I believe Obama has run a strong campaign also. Let's see how he responds to having his recent air of inevitability stripped away from him.
