15. HRC has that fecal touch
kind of like the Midas touch but in reverse. The more they saw and heard her the less support she got.

She'll probably win, but not by more than 10%.

11. Yes, but this was supposed to be a big win. Clinton's Vermont.
Anything too close to call is encouraging, even if she still wins.

13. The call has nothing to do with vote counts -- it's about exit polling.

19. Then I'm confused. If Clinton's doing so well in Ohio, can you
explain this? I thought too close to call had to do with initial percentages of wins that come in.

Exit Polls: "Change" Beating "Experience" By Big Margins In Ohio And Texas

This might mean nothing, or they could be wrong, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Exit Polls: "Change" Beating "Experience" By Big Margins In Ohio And Texas
By Greg Sargent - March 4, 2008, 7:34PM

Some info from the exit polls that will lend comfort to the Obama camp:

The ability to "bring needed change" beats "experience" as the most important quality in a candidate by about a 20-point margin in Ohio and by about 15 points in Texas, according to preliminary exit poll results.

A possible harbinger of a closer-than-expected outcome in Ohio and who-knows-what in Texas...

29. They can't use initial percentages -- they're usually too skewed
The initial results are coming in from individual precincts. These are usually demographically homogenous areas which tend to go strong for one candidate or another. You have to use exit polls to predict where the entire state is going.

The networks have exit polling on who people voted for, but they're not sharing them yet. For them to hold a call on a race, the exit polls have to be close enough to make them cautious about their predictions.

You may now draw your own conclusions...

31. Right now (9:15) CNN's only reporting about 5,000 votes
So I think it's really too early to guess. But it's not the big spread that was talked about recently. Those 5000 are about 51/48.

Have to wait and see!

Leaving Hillary with only Ohio... and a close Ohio at that?

What about all the reports that RI was full of old white catholic women that were ALL going to vote for Hillary?

I was thinking +20 in VT, -12 to -15 in RI, and + or - 5 in OH or TX.

How did it get so close so fast?

20. MSNBC says too close to call, based on exit polling.
Personally, I think she's still likely going to win. But in a state where she was up big in the past few days, this is encouraging. Good luck to you and Sen. Clinton!
