Obama's new internals must look good because
He's spending a crucial pre March 4 date in Rhode Island, a state where Clinton enjoys a 10-15 point lead.

Stand for Change Rally with Barack Obama

Clinton, on the other hand, is spending tonight, Sat, Sun, and Monday in Texas. This tells me one thing: Barack is comfortable with where he is in Texas. Clinton is not. If she thought she would win it, she would not have spent 4 days there.

Another very telling sign is that Obama is spending primary night in Texas. He'll be doing his speech in a huge arena. Not a good place to give a concession speech. A nice place, however, to give a victory speech.

6. Obama works most all the states. Even wish he'd go to VT.
He has a great ground game and many surrogates in TX. He'll do RI on Saturday. Wish he'd even make a quick swing over to VT for at least one event, although VT is pretty much sowed up. He'll at least be able to cut into Hillary in RI even if he can't pass her. Things should close up quite a bit with his live events plus a good ground campaign there too. On Sunday he should return to Ohio for a few stops, and then spend Monday and Tuesday closing the deal in TX. TX is his best shot between these two big states, and if he takes either of them, HILLARY IS TOAST !

7. As much as I would love for him to give his winning speech in Dallas
I think seeing him surrounded by tens of thousands of people with the backdrop of the TX Capitol being broadcast around the nation would be an awesome site. Especially if the cameras swing around and show the always beautiful, lit up UT Tower (kinda bias cuz my kid goes to school there)!!

8. His strategy is to force her to fight everywhere
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 08:47 PM by mmonk
while she wants to be able to make a splash in a state like Texas in order to make a comeback.

10. Well you know that Rhode Island is the new firewall
If Obama fails there, his campaign is dead in the water. Or something.

12. well, the sun will rise and the sun will set without assistance from
obama....

maybe that's the illusion obama wishes to give, and maybe those internals tell him he is not winning by as much in the black community as he should be (rep sheila jackson lee supports hrc) and he has seen the internals that he is way the hell in the low teens with the hispanic vote and he knows he will not win this one in texas.....also not win the one in Ohio as well.....and maybe at least try to salvage one state.....personally I hope he gets his ass handed to him.

15. I think you're destined to be disappointed
it's far more likely that Hillary has her ass handed to her- once again. Sorry, if he felt he was in trouble in TX, he'd be there today. I can't wait to vote in Vermont where Hill is going to get beaten by a big, big margin. Here, she'll go down fast. Expect it to be the first state called on Tuesday. She's done, dear. And I love it.

and when she doesn't do well to make excuses.
