The Sun Is Setting On The Clinton Era

You know, it's kind of sad
To see the end of an era
To see the end of something
That has been in our lives so long

But, time marches on
And people change with time
So, what once started has ended
From what we all have known.

- Jerry Abrahamson

....

I'm sure for some it's a bittersweet time. The ending of one era and the beginning of a new one.

Take solice, though, in the fact that all things, both good and bad, must come to an end, and the sun has to set at the end of every day in order for it to rise the next.

The Clinton sun was good to a lot of Americans. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's sunrise.

1. Maybe as far as presidential politics are concerned, but...
the Clintons will be a major force in the Democratic Party as long as they're both still with us.

2. Perhaps, but it doesn't appear to be setting on the Neocons
That's the "end of an era" that we need to be working toward.

3. Ohh, I don't know, if there's one thing good about
the * presidency, it has utterly destroy the GOP. I will not be a viable political force for a long time to come. At least that's the silver lining I see.

8. i worry less about the neo-cons
than the "new right" conservatives. They have huge grass roots & religious organization.

They are as deadly and damaging as the Neocons ever were.

We have out work cut out for us - but thankfully Obama has already brought in alot of fresh troops!

6. President Obama will have no difficulty being renominated.
Besides, the 90s will have been over for 13 years at that point.

9. My prediction:
Roger Clinton will run for governor of California in 2010, beginning his own meteoric rise to the White House. Unless he's dead, that is.

11. And not a moment too soon.
I'm glad she's staying in, though. It will help Barack's campaign and steel him for the wildly crazy assaults this fall.
