1. Hillary wins after Pennsylvania
as they will acknowledge the Michigan and Florida delegates then.

Game over and Hillary wins by counting ALL VOTES

2. That's impossible. Florida and Michigan are a done deal. She could win PA, of course.

17. That scorched-Earth scenario would taint her candidacy to its doom.
The Republicans will simply advertise on the idea that
the Clintons routinely "cheat to win".

3. The best case scenario for FL and MI is an even split of the delegates...
...how does that benefit HRC?

4. Actually best case scenario has her picking up 50-55 delegates.

10. You realize that she needs like 65% in Tx and Oh to even stay close, right?
No way, she picks up that much.

No way.

18. You really want to take this into late April?
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 07:40 AM by high density
I don't think that's good for anybody.

Obama has to do something to crash and burn incredibly by OH & TX for that to make any sense at all.

Btw, i hope HRC sticks around for some more primaries, we wouldn't want anybody to say they gave up for the good will or anything like that

7. It's not "over" - but Hillary now needs something radical (and unlikely) to happen.
Odds are against her. Which is not the same as saying its "over."

8. I think anyone who calls for her early exit is not realizing that
voters in the rest of the states really should have a chance at voting for the first possible female president. It wouldn't be right to cheat them out of that opportunity. Plus how democratic is it if by the time it comes to your state, there's only one candidate left?

Of course that's usually the way it works in these primary contests.

9. Oh, Really?
Coming from a state that had no choice of voting for anything (Michigan) I find the notion quaint. Rather like the Geneva Convention.

11. Too bad.
"Of course that's usually the way it works in these primary contests"

Yes, that's the way it works. That is reality. Deal with it. Using your logic, EVERY candidate should stay in the race for the entire primary season. When it becomes obvious Hillary Clinton can't win, she should bow out, just like everyone else has. She is nothing special.

20. Dude tone down your rhetoric
In case you hadn't noticed, I'm an Obama supporter. Before that I was an Edwards supporter. I still wish he had stayed in the race, but I'll have to take it on faith that he did the right thing. I agree that Hillary is "nothing special" as you say, but I think all this talk about her dropping out is still premature. After March 4, I may be in agreement with you (especially if the only possible way for her to win is to overcome the popular vote with superdelegates). Then again I may not be.

14. Hillary is melting
Since Super Tuesday, the image of the Hillary Clinton campaign for POTUS, that keeps popping into my head, is the famous scene from the Wizard of Oz. "I'm Melting! MEEELLLLTIIIINNNGGGG!" And yes, she is melting fast. It's over. She has an outside chance of pulling it together March 5th, but it won't happen. Soon, the Clintons will be history. And, that will be fine with me.
