while Bush may look vulnerable of late, please remain aware . . .
that the BushCo neocons will do ANYTHING to remain in power . . .

they will lie . . . they will cheat . . . they will steal . . . and I am convinced that, if necessary, they will . . .

- arrange for convenient small plane crashes;

- start new wars;

- trot out Osama bin Laden, dead or alive;

- rig electronic voting machines in key states; and/or

- look the other way during another terrorist attack on American soil.

the people behind Bush -- the corporatists, the theocrats, the dominionists -- have too much invested in their puppet to see him defeated . . . be prepared for ANYTHING to happen, particularly if it looks like Bush is about to lose the election . . .

1. you are absolutely right!
for them losing is the end of their dreams of a right wing authoritarian theocratic state.

We have to hope that they believe their own propaganda and get overconfident...

6. That, Sir
Seems to me the most likely decisive feature of this campaign.

There has been more than enough boodling and skull-duggery that these reptiles must expect no less indictment and trial and jail should they be defeated.

And we will defeat them, Sir!

I am in two minds concerning the prosecution and imprisoning of the present administration. While I wholeheartedly agree they are guilty of treason and murder do you think they will just submit peaceably? For some reason I can't envision Rumsfeld or Powell or Ashcroft or Cheney going gently into the night, more like kicking and screaming. So if these traitors knew they would be prosecuted if they lost power don't you think they might hold us, that is, our country , as hostage. Picture it like them having a gun to the head of of Miss Liberty as we helplessly stand by. So this is what I propose. In exchange for dropping all charges they accecpt the following conditions.
#1 Permanent house arrest with round-the-clock human surveilance and electronic collars worn 24/7.
#2 Any and all correspondences will be monitored and are the property of the U.S.gov't.
Other than that they can live out their natural lives or unnatural live as the case maybe.

3. I agree
The PNACers are in power and will do anything to stay in power. They know that enough people have drank the Kool-Aid to keep this election close (unless there is a Lewinskyesque scandal in the Kerry camp-and there'd BETTER NOT BE). I don't think you have to worry about complacency though-the opposition (us) is engaged.

5. Remember the words of General Franks about the militarization of America.
http://www.sptimes.com/2003/12/07/Columns/From_Tommy_Franks__a_.shtml
SNIP...."The doomsday scenario was laid out by Gen. Tommy Franks, the recently retired head of CentCom, in of all places the December edition of Cigar Aficionado magazine.

"What is the worst thing that can happen in our country?" Franks asked rhetorically. "Two steps. The first step would be a nexus between weapons of mass destruction . . . and terrorism." The second step would be "the western world, the free world, loses what it cherishes most, and that is freedom and liberty we've seen for a couple of hundred years in this grand experiment that we call democracy."

Franks suggested that a "massive casualty-producing event" might cause "our population to question our own Constitution and begin to militarize our country."

7. You are surely right!
There was an EXCELLENT article posted here last night about Karl Rove, & his drive to win. How this entire Bush administration is not about policy, but politics.

A must read for anyone interested. Written by Ron Susskind for Esquire Magazine.

the election. They are desperate to win. Losing could bring investigations and prosecutions.

Bush told Tim Russert that he would not lose the same way he said he wouldn't lose Florida in 2000. I know he has something up his sleeve.

14. Quite so. And look at all the "stuff" that has "come out" about...
...Bush and how it has had a minimal impact. I think we're going to be looking at a very close race. I hope I'm wrong.
