I'd like to apologize for some of my antics the last few weeks.

Back when the whole Proud2BAmurkin onslaught was happening, my initial strategy was to try to fight fire with fire. When he was posting thread after thread about the alleged handshake snub (and please, let's not talk about it in this thread, this isn't about that, it's over) I tried to show him that two could play at that game and posted about four or five threads in a short time span about it as well. I wasn't really trying to pollute this place, only show, in a roundabout way, that the tactics are stupid through satire. I've done a few other things surrounding Proud2BAmurkin and others as well out of a sense of frustration that I think a lot of other people felt as well. Sometimes I try to make points in interesting ways and am not always sensitive to how they otherwise might be percieved and for that I apologize.

but P2BA tested the limits of my patience as no other DUer has in the 4+ years I've been here (and that includes you, LoZoccolo! :P )

All in all, I don't think P2BA was ever truly a Clinton supporter. He was a troll, pure and simple. He made Clinton supporters look bad, he made Obama supporters get so angry that blood shot out their eyes, and he was responsible for a large portion of the divisiveness here at DU during this primary season.

If his heart was on fire, I wouldn't piss down his throat to save his life.

...I remember him even years ago posting many many short threads about stuff that was on TV while he was on DU. They weren't controversial so much as annoying and seemingly habitual. I tend to think that he at the very least likes posting things and seeing if they get responses; the controversy of the primaries was fertile ground to stir things up.

Just kidding. I've done the same thing once or twice. I remember last year one of the uglier Hillary supporters was posting stuff about Obama from a truly horrendous source, so I posted two negative Clinton stories from the same source. Sometime fighting fire with fire is the only way to make a point, and it worked. So no apology needed in my opinion.
