Obama could fucking beat Hillary 80-20 and this codger would still be pushing his agenda. Is he on her payroll? shit

3. Buchanan has been a huge supporter of Hillary throughout the entire
primary season. He wants her as the nominee and that makes me wonder why.

for Clinton.

6. Obama's weakest income group is working folks
The poorer you are the less likely you are to support obama. His best income group is the affluent. Buchanan has a point.

14. Obama's wins show a consistent pattern
1) States which are the most DLC
2) States where blacks are at least 20% of the population
3) He does better as folks' income rises (exit polling backs this up)

Look at the big states he lost. They were all blue, blacks were less than 20% of the population and he got clobbered among working folk. Obamites can deny reality but political analysts look at the data and see the obvious.

16. Washington state is neither DLC or 20% black
NE is not affluent either, and it isnt 20% black.

18. There are exceptions to the rule
Nebraska is a DLC stronghold. It has the most conservative Democratic senator.

Here are the states he has won:

Iowa: (next door to Illinois)
South Carolina: 29% black, half black in the Democratic primary and he won blacks 78-19-1 after placing third with whites
Connecticut: Home of Joe Lieberman. Despite Joe it is relatively progressive. Count this as an exception.
Georgia: Almost a third black, half black in the Democratic primary and he won blacks 88-12
Alabama: See Georgia
Illinois: his home state
Minnesota: exception
Missouri: he barely won a neighboring state. He was fueled by nearly unanimous black support and support among affluent Democrats. Even in a state that at first blush looks like an exception when you look at the numbers he won for the same reasons as the general rule.
North Dakota: DLC
Kansas: DLC
Colorado: exception
Utah: DLC
Idaho: DLC
Alaska: DLC

Louisiana: See Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina
Washington: exception
Nebraska: DLC

Then take a look at the states he lost and you will see they don't have many conservative Democrats, the black population is under 20%, and he loses badly among working folks.

Small minority population, one of the bluest states, DLC has little influence. Obama won by a large margin.

7. Just turn to CNN. I had to, couldn't stand it anymore. Maddow: "IN WHAT WORLD
ARE NEBRASKA AND IDAHO THE LEFT LANE?" CNN is at least giving him credit for winning states.

10. Pat and Bill Bennett are two lard asses who always push for Hillary.
They take every opportunity on TV to promote Hillary as the perfect candidate because they know they can run well against her. They also know Obama will drive their fat asses into the Potomac.

Buchanan twists results to fit his agenda. Rachel looks at the facts and sees the logic of them. Rachel is a good reason to watch MSNBC.

Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 09:34 PM by fadedrose
Aren't they all in China?

You mean there are a few left in the US? Couldn't be enough of them to sway an election.

Hey, maybe that's why Edwards did poorly. He was courting the blue collar vote and maybe they are a minority now.
