Will Rogers was right. While Romney steps down and leaves a clear playing field for McCain, we tear each other apart over mindless minutiae.

I am depressed. :(

2. I was thinking that same thing this morning...........
if we're not careful we'll see the Supreme Court stacked with Republican hacks for the next generation, simply because we wouldn't or couldn't choose from two great candidates. I voted for Hillary, I like Obama fine, but we've got to think beyond the passion of the moment and consolidate. This election should be a no-brainer, a cakewalk, and the republicans can't beat us, only ourselves.

3. Don't take this place that seriously. Really.
DU does not represent the vast majority of voters out there. I doubt a lot of them are
freaking out like posters here seem to be. Most folks I've talked to are leaning one way or the other,
but not even CLOSE to rabid about it. Take a break, stay in the lounge or go for a walk or something.
Talk to someone who isn't a DU'er. Clear your mind.

:hi:

4. Unfortunately, the War in Iraq is not "minutiae," and that is why I cannot
support Clinton. If she had only admitted that she had made a mistake on her IWR vote, I would have been willing to support her in the general election. Until that happens---I won't.
My God, I saw thru the lies in the run up to the war. If she is so smart and experienced, why didn't she? I don't care that Obama did not have to vote on it. He was running for Senate at the time he went on record loud and clear against it; and what he said would happen if we went to war, did indeed happen. Good judgment, I must say. I have no qualms at all supporting him.

Oh, and I am not a youngster. I am a 62 year old woman that has worked for candidates in the Democratic party since I was 15. I have been a Democratic committeewoman on two different occasions.
