Did something happen?

I haven't been able to look at DU all day (banned at work!!!)

I've been watching TV and all, but where is all this despair coming from? I would think Hillary people would be over the moon with the fundraising.

1. Reality has taken inevitability away from them.
And they can't handle it that there candidate is only tied with their main opponent in delegates.
It's tough to have a dynasty taken away from you.

3. Shuster implied the Clinton's were "pimping out" their Chelsea.
If we took all the feigned outrage on all sides and bottled it, we'd have it in bottles.

Blood sugar getting low.

13. He didn't imply it. He said it outright.
But there is a lot of feigned outrage. A reaction to the feigned outrage of the Obama surrogates lately . Our cups runneth over.

30. No, he didn't. He just pulled a Faux News presentation -
you know, you can say anything if you put a question mark behind it. Don't have the exact quote to hand but it was approximately "Doesn't it almost seem as if they were pimping her out, they way she's campaigning for them?"

So, yes, it was implied. No less uncalled for, though.

29. And he is probably getting fired for it...
Too bad someone is getting fired for speaking the truth, the Clinton's are pimping their daughter while trying to keep her out of the media spot light.

33. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the Clinton camp is making a special issue ...
... of the "pimping" comment in order to generate feminist outrage -- hoping to juice the fundraising and turnout in upcoming primaries.

And quite a few "I won't vote for Barack Obama" threads...

I don't seem to recall seeing this trend before.

I don't want to necessarily say anything bad *cough* about the poster *cough* but she's been called out before *cough*.

I didn't read the second link, didn't interest me when I saw it in the forum.

31. No *cough* she hasn't
*cough* *cough*

Calling out at DU means attacking someone *cough* *cough* if they disagree with your opinion or actually post their real thougths or feelings. I was *cough* called out for being surprise by the vitriol when I first joined here...and there was a shitstorm when I brought it up. It's a good thing I have thick skin.

I have written many posts supportive of both candiates...but for me...this nonsense has gone too far.

7. Some might feel they got played with the bank loan story
AN obvious ploy for money.

Post-Super Tuesday. You could see it in their body language late Tuesday Night. Hillary Clinton gave her speech in clipped tones, leaning on the podium, no energy in it. The words were good, and speech itself was strong, but the body language said, "This is not the way tonight was supposed to go." It was as if it was a metaphor for the entire campaign.

....based on the premise that people will govern as they campaign, this position only demonstrates that Hillary has a tendency to choose bad advisors, and to listen to them. That doesn't instill confidence in her as a potential president.

15. it's the realization that Hill could actually lose. For 7 years now they expected
she would be an automatic shoe in.

They were fed that from both the media and the Hillary pre-campaign and then the campaign.

They wonder how they went from there to here.

16. For the past year, they have believed Hillary would win. But she's not.
And they're having a hard time accepting that it's almost over for the Hillary bandwagon.

The more popular Obama becomes, the more vicious they become. It's the death throes of a campaign, grasping desperately for any hope, trying desperately to make any ridiculous slur against Obama stick.

Now that they're finding out they've been suckered into giving their $100 to Hillary while she's been making $50 million of hers and Bill's money, they're realizing they have been scammed.

As in such things, they look outward to place blame, and wrongly blame Obama, who is only guilty of being smarter, better, sharper, more articulate, more entertaining, better looking, and pretty much better in every possible way than her.

Stick a fork in her. She's done.

Not a word about policy. No. Glad he's "more entertaining" and "better looking", though. That's a relief.

And by the way, the "stick a fork in X" thing is a real cliché. It's one of those phrases which works the first few times, but soon becomes tiresome.

It's a bit like "yes we can" in that respect.

25. She's in money trouble. She will lose caucus states. She will lose most
other states.

He's got the crowds, the money, the organization, the momentum, and the excitement. Stand back and look rationally at the past two months. Obama has won more states, won more delegates, has five times as many contributors, and probably has five times as much money to spend in the primary. She can't touch 90% of the money she is telling everyone she has. It's earmarked for the general election and she cannot spend it.

The pulse of America wants change, and they know Hillary far too well. She will lose men by 10-20 points. She will do no better than break even among women, since almost all Republican women hate her, a majority of indie women don't like her, and that leaves only Democratic women she will carry.

The party elders see the handwriting on the wall. They do not want to see Hillary drag the ticket down all over the country in November.

She blew leads in 16 of 27 states, and it's going downhill for her from here.

She may hang on, but she's done. It's just a matter of Obama racking them up.
