My husband's two hardcore Republican coworkers are voting Democratic
this time around. They cannot stand John McCain, and said they are voting for the Democratic nominee.

My jaw was on the floor when I heard this, because they think Bush walks on water.

1. Which, again, doesn't make sense
McCain wants to stay in Iraq. Wants to make tax cuts permanent. Essentially, continue the Bush legacy. Oh well. Welcome them to our show!

2. I will welcome them with open arms.
I know it doesn't make sense, but what the hell. If they want to come over and vote on our side, I say let 'em!

5. What I've heard from various righties is that they won't forgive McCain
for McCain-Feingold, that he initially voted against the tax cuts before he realized he'd lose the nomination, and his position on immigration, which the right seems to give Bush a pass on. Oh, and his "Gang of 14" when they were going to use the nuclear option on judges.

3. MY IN REPUBLICAN MOTHER IN LAW
who is Cuban American is also voting democratic.. especifically, Obama. She doent' like what Bush has done to this country and how he has managed the War. She is totally hard -core republican who still blames JFK for Bahia de Cochino..

I was dumbfounded when she sent me an e-mail she had received from the Obama campaing thanking her for her contribution. She liks Obama so much she has his bumper sticker on her car.

This is a lady whom i argued with endlessly in 2000..

She LOVES LOVES OBAMA..

and I am not even an Obama suporter, nor Hillary supporter. i decided that I will support whoever is the nominee:::

6. My brother is saying the same thing. He would definitely vote for
Obama, and he's wavering if it's Clinton, but he hates the Repuke options.

7. Similar story
I posted earlier this week about 2 hard core Republicans that I work with, and have sparred mightily with over the past 10 years.

They came by to tell me that they will not vote for McCain. They won't vote for Hillary either, but they might hold their nose and vote for Obama. Of course, they say that they will do that in order for the country to get so screwed up that it will guarantee a Republican victory in 4 years. :eyes:
