I'm seeing a bunch of David Schuster threads on here.

7. Thanks for that. To say he was out of bounds, is an understatement. He was pathetic and sick.
And yet...the anti-Clinton folks here on DU, will probably still continue to say that Sen. Clinton is the darling of the MSM and that the MSM wants her so badly to win.

8. He got suspended. He and others apologized several times. Now Hillary is using that as an excuse
to try to get out of the debate SHE asked for. Oh-OR she wants to get out of it because Obama requested that she disclose her tax return and she refused...'til after the primaries.

9. Actually..the Clinton campaign is citing numerous instances of NBC "journalists"
(if you can call them that) making out of bounds comments about her. For example, Tim Russert's comment that Hillary Clinton would not have gotten elected if her husband had not cheated on her.

You are a downright disgusting human being, if you are going to be some sort of apologist for David Schuster.

Chris Matthews who said that. And who are YOU to call ME a "downright disgusting human being" after all the nasty, crude, rude, vile, disgusting things you've said to many posters on this board?! :eyes:

Oh-and it was Hillary who REQUESTED the debates. Obama didn't have to agree. She's the desperate one who needs free airtime-not Obama.

11. My bad...you're right, it was Chris Matthews....and hello, Sen. Clinton is NOT
desparate. She simply believes that the American people have a right to know where she and Obama both stand on the issues, and have a right to see them debating those issues.

Your candidate is the one who doesn't want to put his positions out there.

19. Hello-the one in the lead never requests more debates. She's desperate. She needs free airtime
and is trying desperately to change the trajectory of this race. She has every right to tell voters where she stands on the issues. If voters don't hear Obama's positions or don't LIKE where he stands on the issues, they can vote for Hillary.

6. He accused Hillary Clinton of being a pimp for whores and that she was pimpping her own daughter
Nothing really as far as the CLinton Haters are concerned! Now if someone had said that about Obama's Wife being Pimped out to campaign for him.....well that would be a story now wouldn't it!

If I wanted a sermon I would go to church not to a political speech.

16. No, he should have phrased it differently but said in essence the same thing
people are pissed off about a misogynistic word choice, but few are addressing the underlying objection. Sending the candidate's children out to campaign is a cheap and idiotic ploy, merely designed to shield the campaign from any substantive criticism. It's a cheap tactic and the best it deserves is invective--just not that particular word. Pretty much any other pejorative would do just fine.

EG. Hillary sent Chelsea out like a robot monkey.

EG Hillary sent her own daughter out to deflect criticism like some hapless pinata.

EG Clinton used her own daughter as electioneering canon fodder.

EG Chelsea, stumbled around the hustings with all the charm and effectiveness of one of George Romero's animated, brain-eating corpses.

18. nonsense. She's a 27 year old woman who chooses to campaign
for her mother. And Kerry's daughters did the same for their dad. I agree that she can be criticized, but Schuster was over the line- way over.

15. He said that Hillary pimped out her daughter for support
He likened using a couple's child to gain support for a political campaign to putting her ass out in the streets to bring home some scratch.

Personally, it makes me sick when candidates play the family card. I hate it. I hate hearing about Edwards' dead child. I hate hearing about Edwards' cancer stricken wife. I hate hearing about Chelsea. I hated hearing about Amy Carter. I hated hearing about Jena and Barbara.

I don't want to hear about it. I don't want to see them. I don't actually give a shit about a candidate's wife or children or parents. I just don't care. I don't like McCain's 90 year old mother.

An election is about a candidate's ideas and platform, intelligence and education. All the rest of the stuff is horseshit.

Having said that, perhaps "pimped" was a poor choice of words. But the sentiment is dead on.

22. He screwed up, then gave a lame apology
He apologized for the offense that some people took. He apologized that some people are over-sensitive.

He never apologized for suggesting Chelsea was pimped out by her parents.
