Real Men Don't Vote for Democrats....
...and that is the successful propaganda strategy for winning elections that the Republicans have sold to a large segment of white males. If we are to regain control of this nation, we need to change that perception to: “Real men don’t spend their lives on their knees, bowing to the arrogant wealthy and to corporations in the hopes of having a bone or handful of crumbs thrown to them; but, rather, real men stand up and fight for themselves, their families, their communities and a government based on ‘we the people’”.

If these men had lived during the revolutionary period, they would have vehemently argued that we were fortunate to exist at the pleasure of the power and riches of King George and the British aristocracy and that we could never go it alone. They would have fought for George to keep us on our knees. If they lived decades ago, they would have fought for the Robber Barons and against labor unions that brought a middle class to this country. We, and our children, would still be working in mines and sweatshops and dying young.

How do we get these men off of their knees?? Without their massive voting block the republicans would be solidly in the minority. Bush is currently making the NASCAR and rodeo circuits dressed in his blue jeans to make sure these men stay groveling in the dirt. How do we get across to them that they are a pathetic shell of their forefathers?? How do we make them see that they are cowards?? These warriors fight to their deaths to preserve the priviledges of the rich; but won't lift a finger to fight for their own children's future. Perhaps those white males who are not part of this group and are fighting the republicans could give some suggestions on how to create a spine in these men.

2. Okay, Trumad, take the premis that they only care for themselves
..it's still comes out the same. They still lack the spine to stand up and fight for themselves but prefer these days to spend their time on their knees in front of the wealthy waiting for crumbs. It still comes down to "no spine".

3. real men can support themselves and their families
so many kids can not live by themselves -- they can't afford an apartment. They are being supported by their parents.

4. cap---how many of those men cannot support themselves alone
either?? And how many increasingly are not going to be able to with outsourcing of jobs, etc. They still just wait for handouts from the wealthy instead of fighting to preserve anything, including their own future employment.

7. Go after the women in their lives.... Trying to appeal to those men who

are that insecure about their manhood-- that they refuse to think for themselves-- is a lost cause in the short term.... Even some semi-Freeper women, can probably be brought around if we touch on the issues that are most concerning to them....When we approach a 80/20 split in women's votes, how many RW men do you think will continue to refuse to hear their viewpoints? (could make for some lonely nights, now, couldn't it?)

8. hlthe---ha, ha, ha--there was a Greek play about that, wasn't there???
It's worth a try!!! Turning a bit more seriously,though--I think a lot of these guys vote (sadly) because they hate minorities and the status of today's women so much that they will vote for their own economic extinction first. Of course when they can't afford to buy a ticket to NASCAR or the cable to watch it, then Kattie Bar the Door!!!
