Hillary campaign making big mistake not putting boots on the ground in
TX,VA,MD, PA. What are they doing to even try to capture some college voters? Am I just uninformed about it?

3. She actually has no ground game in Nebraska...
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 11:03 PM by TwoSparkles
...which is primarily a white state. It should be fertile ground for her.

I just read an article in the Omaha World Herald, in which an Obama spokesperson said
they'll have seven volunteer coordinators in the state. The Clinton campaign
wouldn't say how many they would have. They wouldn't even realease it. At the
time the article was written there were none. The Nebraska caucus is in two days.

Seriously...Does Clinton have the volunteer base or the money for a ground game?

She had no serious ground game in Iowa, and that was the first state. Maybe
a ground game was not part of her strategy?

11. Err.. Nebraska? Did you miss yesterday?
Obama is cleaning up on the high plains. Clinton is doing well in high-minority states like NY, MA, and CA.

...before Texas.

Texas is in March.

She doesn't have any presence in these other ten states that vote on Saturday, Sunday and next Tuesday.

This is really...Wow.

20. It's going to be an Obama blow out ....
...in these next round of states.

The Saturday states will go for him...I don't see her winning one.

The Tuesday states are all his as well. She's competitive in Maryland, but
that's the only state she has a chance in next Tuesday.

Wow. Just wow.

No wonder she's asking for money NOW, and disclosing her bad financial information now.

She knows after this weekend and Tuesday--he will be ahead by wide margins. She'll get
nothing after that.

Holy buckets.

22. Ummmm...those "larger states"...
...don't even vote until March!

Texas and Ohio are March 4.

There are ten states that vote or have caucuses before those states.

She has no presence in any of those states. If she loses most of those, she's done.

23. I'm actually not worried about Ohio
One thing is clear. The more these places see him. The more they like him. I think you have to look at it like this. He has the potential to go to Ohio with a lot of momentum. He's likely to win Washington State and Lousiana on saturday. And I don't think anyone thinks Hillary is going to beat him next Tuesday in that MD, Washington, VA area.

But yes I do worry about Hispanic voters in TX. I can't understand why he can't get them behind him. But the good thing about TX is there are a lot of very well Educated Black and White voters. And he seems to do well with those groups.

28. I've heard many Floridians are heading out to Texas to help, and it won't be for Obama.
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 07:39 AM by Maribelle
Her supporters in Florida are extremely loyal, without a doubt. The list of Florida Registered Independents supporting her is growing long. And in case anyone is not paying attention, Registered Independents in Florida are in the millions, and are paying close attention to how the Registered Democrats are being treated by both ends.

Over 10 million Flordians voted in an election where Obama and Kerry are claiming their votes don't count.

http://election.dos.state.fl.us/voterreg/pdf/2007/PPP2008_CountyParty.pdf

This number includes over 1.5 million non-democrats and non-republicans that voted on the issues, even though they could not vote for their presidential preference.

The Obama campaign is making a huge tactical error in falsely accusing these votes of not counting, instead of focusing where he should be focusing on delegates. If Obama wants to hold any hopes of winning Florida in the General Election, he needs to correct this lie, and turn the focus back to delegates - - otherwise more and more voters focus on Hillary.
