4. Nope, I think she is really quite smart, I mean she was able to beat...
the Bush, right wing machine too win her senate seat back in 2002. It takes a genius to do that (beating Karl rove and all).

I think I'm on.

to carry any southern state other than Florida.

It is the deep south.

She would make a good senate majority/minority leader though

33. You miss it too. I don't really care how "hot" you are but...
Lots of people do and I think it means a lot when we talk about "electabity." You have to look at the big picture here. We need to be the party for "hot" people. The "cool" party. That is... if you care about getting the 18-25 vote? Do you?

This is less a matter of being hot and more a matter of electabilty (Like it or not, which is why we have Kerry not Dean).

44. Why were JFKs approval rating so high? This has been around forever...
and it will be forever and we must use it. I say we capitalize on dumb people. I really think that is why Republicans are doing so well these days. (Arnold and all... We try to reason with people but they would rather have some bodybuilder. That rings true with Bush, they don't care about the cost of war... when the cowboy wants war... the cowboy gets war.)

19. YES!
I have been hyping Landrieu for months. She is experienced, smart, and attractive. And the thing to remember is that this is not just about carrying a southern state ... this is about 'soccer mom's. Forget 'NASCAR dads" -- the ones with jobs are all going to vote for Bush anyway. The important swing vote for Kerry is suburban women. Mary Landrieu is a perfect fit to campaign in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvannia, and Florida.

Besides, it is just ridiculous to believe that a woman can not be on the ticket! It has been twenty years since Mondale-Ferraro. That is too long!

I'm telling you ... A Kerry-Landrieu ticket is a WINNER!

she refused to yield the floor to Hatch(?). She was ripping, (I think it had something to do with female bashing) and Laura Ingrahm kept playing her "I will not yield, over and over. When she was done with her presentation, she told them they could put the reports that Hatch and others were going to use in a place "where the sun don't shine" It was priceless.

38. Aside from what she looks like...
I think she could be an asset. Perhaps I'm way off base here, but I've been thinking for a while that Kerry needs a woman or minority person on the ticket. Anyone who wouldn't vote for a ticket like that, wouldn't vote for Kerry anyway. It could draw support from women, in particular, that are on the fence.

40. tough person. she beat back bush's hand picked opponent in 2002
and she made it clear that by beating her opponent she was beating bush.

she is hardly brainless as anyone who saw her a few months ago on the floor of the senate speaking in opposition to the seniors drug plan bill would agree.

she tore george w bush a new asshole that night.

i think she would make a good vp choice and said so 18 months ago.

a woman on the ticket would galvanize the election across a divide of an old versus a new america. the presence of the possibility that a woman could be president would sweep millions more into the election process.

i recognize that geraldine farraro ran as vp in 84, but modale was so behind that his throw of the dice in relief of a near impossibility of his election does not rise to the possibility that a woman would finaly ascend to an elected position in the executive branch.

kerry/landreiu.... i think it would be an awesome ticket.

47. I like Mary Landrieu
& I respect her for her abilities, not because she's hot.

The reason this election is not the time for a female Veep, is that Kerry is leading in the polls in every domestic issue: jobs, healthcare, education, environment, etc.

The only area where he is losing to Bush? National security/war on terror. By a large majority Americans believe Bush is stronger on this issue, & Bush will run on "Wartime President".

Figure a way to neutralize this issue, & Kerry will win. My suggestion is Wes Clark.

It was an unbelievable performace! This woman is Definitely not brainless! She rocks!

Go to http://www.cspan.org/congress/debate.asp scroll down, and click on "Senate Debate on Judicial Nominations - Part 15 <10pm-12am>". Landrieu begins at the 30 minute mark.
