Just a question, where will DK get exposure?
Not a flame, but I hope people realize that there aren't going to be anymore debates. No more free earned media. No more press coverage on those debates.

Nothing but Kerry vs. Bush 24/7.

1. Honestly?
The Daily Show will probably talk about him some, and he's a very good interview, so he'll be on cable news shows, I'm sure of it.

3. Let's hope there are more states where he has
dedicated and well-organized supporters, like in Minnesota.

They will shame the media into covering him. :-)

7. Sharpton has more votes and delegates, so he'd be in higher priority
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 11:39 PM by zulchzulu
Kucinich should worry about his congressional seat and getting a date.

I think his online dating crap was the lowest I've ever seen on ANY candidate.

9. He didn't set up the online dating stunt
Some supporters did without his permission. Perhaps it wasn't the wisest move to play along, but it wasn't his idea.

8. He's just adding to the dialog. Nothing wrong with that. I wish people
would quit hounding on the Sharpton and Kucinich candidacies. They are doing NO harm, and are arguably doing some good for some constituencies.

Let's just move on and let them do their thing. No harm, no foul.

14. You're welcome. I frankly wish Kucinich could get some better numbers
even if he can't gain the support for the nomination, so he could get more voice in his movement overall. He does hold a committee seat in Congress, does he not? That is where his voice really counts and where he might gains some clout, is my perception, if he could show some support in this primary. That's what my take is anyway.

10. Like Dennis really ever got "free earned media"
What Dennis has done, he's done virtually without any media attention, and the debates weren't all that helpful to him.

It's his going to the people, and his supporters who have brought out more attention.

That will keep happening.

16. my thoughts exactly Kanary!
" free earned media" HA!

Like I said in another post...
If the media makes you, it can also break you....

Dennis is not dependent on them and it drives em nuts...but they started it by NOT reporting Dennis...maybe it was a favor in disguise

15. Dennis is still Running - don't loss hope
Dennis is still going to go all the way to the convention. He also has asked Kerry for a debate. (I think it would be with sharpton, too, but I don't know). So, that would be a great debate! I'd love to see it.

Also, Kucinich is just going to stay in there, so that he can get those important issues across loud and clear. He's no quitter! I have more and more respect for him. And, no - he's not deluded. He's smart.

17. I wish I had some of your hopefullnes
but I'm pretty cynical about this. Kerry will not agree to debate with DK and Al; there's nothing for him to gain by doing so. He can simply say that the voters have chosen him as nominee and now the party must focus on beating GWB. There is no interest in hearing DK and Al's take on the issues. In last Tuesday's primaries, Kerry and Edwards--both pro-IWR, pro-occupation, pro-Patriot act, pro-imperialism, pro-corporatism, got over 75 percent of the votes between them. Voters so far have shown that they do not really care much about these issues. Now that Edwards is out, do you think his voters are going to magically switch over to Dennis? Expect Kerry's vote totals to go even higher in the primaries to come.

I do hope Dennis stays in the race. I hope and expect to vote for him in May. Someone has to say the things he is saying, and no he isn't deluded; he sees thing with a clarity of vision that is exremely rare for a politician of either party. He'll keep plugging along to Convention saying the things that no one else wants to say and few want to hear.

18. We need rational dialogue
That is why DK need stay in the race. Yes, at this point Dk should not be compative to Kerry.I say Democratic voters just voted for who will win and did not listen to issues; even though I follow up polls of voters profiles on Super Tuesday, show DK's ideas are popular. They just thought Kerry has them.
We need hash out our differences on policies before the Platform debate,if we want a united party. that Can start with rational dialogue here.... As long as Dk,Sharpton, Nader follow a careful campaign, I say it might help Kerry. Makes Kerry follow a more populist line.
Kerry says 40,000 more troops to Iraq, pro-occupation; and I have stong doubts about his trade views. That just makes me really skeptical. Many of us have very Stong views on these issues.
You Democrats who want to just win, convince me Kerry will preserve American jobs. And don't talk about 'reforming Nafta.'
I am anxious to see how Michael Moore reacts to Kerry..He is as strong headed about Trade as I am... Kerry gets Moore's endorsement, that will be a great step forward in my book, convincing me that Kerry is interested in saving American jobs.
