17. NOOOOOOOOOOOO....
I DID NOT say that!!!!!!!!!!! It is absolutely true that the people in eastern TN do not vote for African Americans. It is that part of the state that Harold Ford Jr had difficulty winning. Corker's supporters played those racist ads and they worked.

20. Now that I think about it
perhaps I should not have used the word racist. I should have said they simply will not vote for a black candidate in the area. THere aren't many blacks that live in that area. Perhaps the people are just not used to being around blacks and can't conceive of the idea of putting one in office. I don't know. I do know that they will not vote for a black to win in that area. The only shot a black candidate has in that state is to win Nashville and the Memphis area...

Obama won almost 80% of the black vote in S.C. so someone could say the same thing about the black voters there.

21. Enough of this shit already.
Just because a lot of people are rejecting "the messiah" Obama doesn't mean they're racists, and I'm getting REALLY sick of that meme. When people aren't a Clinton supporter, I don't see people broad brushing them as sexists.

And I live in SE KY, so I'm well aware of the demographics.

5. as long as Obama breaks 40%
which is all he has to do, basically, and they'll split the delegates almost evenly. Or enough that it's only a handful of delegates lost to him.

26. I doubt it. It's got a piss poor rating. Nothing at all like my state
of Vermont which is consistently in the top 3 re education and ususally number one re health. In this most educated and healthy state, we'll go heavily for Obama.

31. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm sorry, but I lived in TN for ten years and the people there are so freakin' nice they mostly can't be critical or think critically.

The schools where we were were awful.

Everything was about raising money for some project, and the rest was busywork, when there was any work at all.

When a friend applied to teach there, she was asked in her interview how she planned to teach the Civil War.

Seriously, anybody expect HRC to poll at 80% among 18-29 year olds when EVERYWHERE ELSE has her either losing to Obama or splitting the youth vote? She couldn't even pull those numbers in Florida.

HRC might be up significantly in TN, but this poll appears to be poorly conducted.

minor edit for clarity

27. She is well known and liked as far as I know in both Arkansas and TN
It doesn't seem unlikley to me that the youth vote would be favoring her. If I remember correctly, the only place is was overwhelmingly for Obama was in Iowa. My short term memory is bad, but I don't remember unusual results anywhere else.

32. This poll is way off from the previous results...
from a prior post

"Are we sure this poll is weighted properly?

I am not saying this poll is wrong, but it seems like these numbers are not in line with the results of IA, NH, NV, and SC. Obama had 57% of 17-29 in IA, 60 % of 18-24 in NH and split evenly with HRC with 25-29, 59% of 18-29 in NV, and 67% of 18-29 in SC. Obama even got a split with HRC in Florida and he didn't even campaign there.

Is TN really that far out of whack with the rest of the country?"

Seriously, if HRC is polling that high in TN, then Obama might as well not bother. However, I would caution against relying on this particular poll because the data seems skewed heavily when compared to prior results and concurrent polling data in other states.

If I see the same thing from Rasmussen or Gallup, then I'll believe it. I mean, we're not talking about a mere "favoring" of HRC...we're talking about a massive ass-stomping in what has up to this point been Obama's strength. If this poll said Obama was polling near 80% with white women, for example, I'd be calling the methodology into question then too.

28. All that being said TN is likely a good state for Clinton
due to favorable demographics. It's just this particular poll has some glaring anomalies and shouldn't be taken too seriously.
But if you want to believe as gospel, it's okay by me.

42. The Obama people are going to cry foul over this poll...
because it shows Hillary with a respectable lead. Just like they questioned the voting machines in New Hampshire. On 2/5 the Obamabots will question all the results where Hillary and ignore where Obama wins.
Obama and company will find any reason to discredit Hillary. Shameful behavior on their behalf.
