I wonder how that will play with the less informed Democratic voters. They might see Move On as too partisan and antithetical to Obama. I don't know if winning their poll is a good thing.

1. Why do you assume folks not in moveon.org are "less informed Democratic voters"?

7. He's saying that moveon has a bad name with less informed voters
they get spun by the news as this super liberal organization.

10. That's correct
More informed Democratic voters are probably Move On Members.

2. If they're less informed...
Why would they even know about Move On?

4. I got a ballot from them
and put in a comment that they shouldn't endorse anybody.

I don't think a MoveOn endorsement really helps either of our candidates. People who subscribe to MoveOn are already politically active.

The last time they asked.

5. Its a risky move for moveon.
They're saying that they will go against 33% of their own in backing somebody in a divisive contest. I don't see why they would do it.

14. What are they actually going to do for that person?
Move on is filled with people already connected to campaigns. I don't think they'll be able to do anything but press release.

15. Move on isn't making the decision
It's the membership.

20. That's because they don't want to take a stand like Obama IMHO.
They know Hillary has backed them but like so many other folks they just don't like her. So the MoveOn.Org top tier is hoping that their members will do the work for them.

22. I really don't think it's so Machiavellian
They want to have a say, but want their membership to endorse it.

9. For Obama, it's all about Obama.
For Hillary, it's all about Hillary.
For MoveOn, it's all about MoveOn.
For Democratic voters, it's all about America.
That being said, I don't see that a MoveOn endorsement of either candidate has any positive potential.

13. I don't think it would be a good thing
60% would be fine. I don't mind Obama beating Clinton with Move On, but Move On is a uniting force among activists. I am a member and I won't feel alienated personally from Move On if it endorses Obama, but it would still be a split among the ranks. And Clinton does have a lot of support in the Democratic Party even if it is less so among online activists. But it's ultimately OK because it is a democratic process and I can't complain about that.

I have been mildly impressed that Hillary Clinton has not engaged in anything remotely resembling left baiting given how much fire she has taken from people who attack her from the left. That is a hopeful sign that we can all make it past this primary season toward a Democratic future together.

19. ?????
Where did I say Move On is our enemy? I'm a frigging member and have done Move On actions and hosted Move On parties. The OP raised the question of whether it was a good thing for Move On to make an endorsement in this primary. I answered with my opinion. I also said I have no real complaint if they do because it is democracy in action either way. What part of that sounded like a freeper?

16. Why would BO or HC want this endorsement? BO would think that it hurts him
with his repuke buddies and HC would ignore it because it goes against her DLC tendencies.
