My thanks and sympathy to Edwards supporters.
Edwards fought a tough campaign. The media decided early on that this race was between "the first black presidential candidate" and "the first female presidential candidate", and that storyline didn't leave room for Edwards.

I really appreciated Edwards strong positions this time around, and even though I'm most for another candidate, I always knew I could vote for Edwards, and I appreciated his voice in the debates. I hope he sticks around the party and continues making his voice heard.

I'm sure this is a tough day for you, and I just wanted to share my sympathies, no matter who you ultimately decide to vote for, or even if you decide not to vote at all. Best wishes to y'all, and best wishes to John, Elizabeth (she would've been my favorite first lady ever), Cate, Emma Claire, and Jack.

1. Mixed emotions. . .
. . .as an Obama supporter I'm glad Edwards has dropped out, as a Democrat I wish he stayed to the end. He was my second choice.

3. I do, too. Obviously, he must want one of the remaining two to win, or he would've stayed.
The question is, which one? We'll see shortly.

4. Yes. Sorry for your loss. I know how much you have invested in Edwards.
I'm sure he'll end up with a great position in the DEMOCRATIC WHITE HOUSE come next January.
