1. The Limosine Liberal crowd...
is the same group who stuck us with McGovern and Mondale and now they want to stick us with Obama. However, I believe the first two are good people, the third is has not convinced me of that by a long shot.

8. The breakdown by religiosity, self-described liberalness, among others, are also v. interesting.
Again surprised by the self-described 'very liberals' going more for Clinton than Obama for one thing.

Thanks for the link.

15. Why - liberals know that Obama is not liberal.
He is the most conservative of the three.

To understand this however you would actually need to know what being liberal means vs. being "progressive". Which generally means, as far as I can tell, I am not a Democrat - I am just an angry person.

21. I was puzzled to read in so many places about how 'liberal' BO is, as I don't find him to be...
...so myself, and that is borne out by the recent analyses of the 3 top Dems' platforms by Z Magazine and The Nation. They both concluded that Obama is to the right of both Edwards and Clinton.

9. Hillary can only win in urban areas which vote Democratic anyway. Obama has proven over
SEVERAL states (not just Florida) that he appeals to rural voters and independents.

12. It's true...
the more uneducated and unsuccessful one is, the more likely they are to be for Hillary Clinton.

Does it surprise anyone that less-educated people buy her bullshit and more educated people see through it?

14. I absolutely hate that/your Republican crap.
Until this election cycle blue collar and working class was used instead of uneducated. That is a right wing talking point being pushed by the MSM and brought to DU by people who are not thinking and not Democrats.

26. Quite right. Which is why the line I keep seeing - 'I'm a Republican who will vote for Obama'...
...is very disturbing to me. There's a reason why these Repubs are attracted to him - that's what unsettles me about him.

28. What those Repubs tell me is that they don't trust Hillary.
They don't trust her because she will be vindictive toward Repubs. They want Obama because he wants to share governing with them.

They know they are going to lose this cycle and they want the guy who doesn't have an agenda - who won't investiage the prior administration and throw stink bombs on the Republicans.

That is why the self-satisfied white rich media guys with a home on Martha's Vineyard want him also.

13. Retirees are on fixed incomes.
62% of the voters were over 50. 25%, I believe, were over 65.

The turnout demographics - and Florida's voter demos in general aren't really indicative of much beyond Florida. It does show that Hillary is alive and well, and a favorite among the older set, but that's about it, IMO.

16. "Older people" who live there, like my dad, pushing 80, love the
status quo and liked the big dawg because he didn't mess with Dad's checkbook.

Dad also is somewhat racist (but never overtly), sad as it is for me to say that. I've known that for years and thank my mom for countering that at an early age.

30. The candidate of the defense industry and investment bankers
The less money you have, the less time you have. The less time you have, the more name recognition counts. Ironic that the folks fucked over by the Clintons in the 90s who gained nothing (except for losing less than in the 80s) but NAFTA, welfare "reform" and media consolidation want more of the same.
