No. They just don't have it in them to be gracious in either victory or defeat. Not here at DU, anyway.

P.S. The "victory party" thing is just creepy, but whatever gets you through the night, I guess.

6. Congratulations to Hillary Clinton on her Florida victory
I hope Senator Obama gets the nomination and I am volunteering on his campaign out here in California, but I will proudly support whoever gets the nomination.

10. Thanks for the genuine congratulations. I will work for whoever our nominee is too.
GDP can make it hard to remain civil, but the upside of that is that we are obviously all passionate. I think in the end that will prove to be much greater benefit.

7. There have been posts as you described.
They fall off the board cause some of the more "enthusiastic" Hillary supporters are doing their virtual balloon drop in the GDP.

9. Um, how hard has she been campaigning in Florida?
Don't you kinda have to work to be congratulated? Seriously, congratulating someone for winning a contest where no one competed is mighty disingenuous.

12. Why?
Wouldn't you congratulate someone for winning a lottery? Or a sweepstakes? Or even, dare I say it, a beauty contest? As a matter of good will? Not every competition is a wrestling match.

That said, I don't really agree that no one competed. Most of the voters in FL followed the news enough to know what the candidates are about, as much as anyone does. After the retail politics of Iowa and NH, we forget that usually that's the only exposure most voters get anyway. Very very few will ever actually see any candidate in person.

13. I do
I'm not proud of her trying to use states that were off-limits to campaigning (and thus more likely hers due to superior name recognition), but she is a force to be reckoned with, and tonight she won an unequivocal victory. So congratulations to her for that!

14. for her showing yes I will
for a victory, no

that is reserved for real campaigning on a level playing field for ALL candidates

The DNC did not do the party any favors with Florida and Michigan

They've been buried. I've offered my congratulations, I don't see the need to do so again.

it is disingenuous at best, complete fraud at face.

Has Barack gotten that many voters in any state to vote for him?

We should be fucking proud that the people spoke so loudly in Florida.
