I live in Florida - and it looks like Kerry's got it.. so, should I vote? - I dont believe there are any local races on my ballot - if there are, don't worry, I'll definitely vote.

1. Vote Kucinich
It's your last chance to protest.

4. Why would I protest?
I actually kind of like Kerry.. Kucinich is a great guy, but the way I see it - he's been mathematically eliminated. Sorry, Dennis - go back to the Congress and do us well there.

5. He is going back to Congress
He's not going to win, but a vote for Kucinich is an endorsement of the progressive agenda that Kerry's a little lacking in.

12. Kucinich and Sharpton not mathematically eliminated!!
There's still more than 2000 delegates to be selected, and Kerry only has 1300+. They could still do it, man!!!

;)

sigh...

14. exactly
vote, and get as many people as you can to vote to. The appearance of strength and unity has never been needed more.

7. Yes, please!
All delegates to Kucinich could help get things like

- Universal healthcare

- Election reform

- Ending overconsolidation of media

into the party platform!

Democrats MUST begin taking back the discourse from the right. We've ceded ground for FAR too long (as evidenced by Kerry's shameful display on Sunday).

15. Yes
What you bring up is especially important for Kucinich, Dean, Edwards, Clark, and Sharpton supporters, especially in light of the fact that supporters of the other guys cite policy positions rather than electability, which is what grabs Kerry supporters. The party platform is very important. Electability is not a policy position. Nor is ABB.

8. I urge you to vote
and I urge you to vote your conscience. Never mind how other people vote and never mind who my preferred candidate is. I'm getting a little bit disturbed with some totalitarian tendencies cropping up here.

9. dean, kucinich, and sharpton still want delegates
and dean ended up winning his home state of vermont. there was something special about that even if it still means he wont win the nomination.

and kucinich got a strong second in hawaii.

18. WOW! Thank you, J17!
I agree, Dean's Vermont win was just awesome to see. I was mightily pleased even if it wasn't the candidate I actively support. You, sir, are the kind of Kerry supporter I run into offline, and why I won't be too bummed to vote for him if he does get the nod.

11. Go vote and then go to your precinct convention...
Edited on Wed Mar-03-04 11:30 AM by VelmaD
or caucus or whatever they call it there. Not only is that the place to try to become a delegate to your State convention...but you also can introduce and/or vote on resolutions that can make it up into your State (and even the National) party platform. If you want to see progressive change in the party and in the country, going to your local precinct convention is a damn good place to start.

TAKE OVER YOUR LOCAL PARTY PEOPLE!

13. Yes!
We need to keep people energized, keep the good news stories happening. Not only should you vote, but you should help with GOTV efforts as a practice run for November, I would encourage you to get in touch with the Kerry campaign or your county Democratic committee.

Just consider it a dry run for November...

17. Here's why you should vote-
I'll tell you what I just told the entire Kucinich message-board-

Delegate count as of 9:57am EST according to CNN

Kerry- 1,362
Edwards(out but not yet marked as such)- 454
Dean (out)- 182
Sharpton- 24
Kucinich- 18

These numbers include the "super delegates" and after calculating still leave a full 2,225 delegates open for grabs. Granted Kerry stands a good chance of getting the nom. before the convention but not as good as the media would have you believe. It is NOT OVER yet.

Anyone who does not want Kerry to get the nod really should vote Kucinich at this point, and I say that pragmatically. (Note to Dean, Clark or other supporters determined to vote your candidate, this does not apply to you. Vote your heart or conscience no matter what I'm saying here. :toast: ) Anyone not set on voting for a dropped or inactive candidate and not wanting to vote Kerry really only has two choices. I admire Rev. Sharpton's efforts but I know of very few people who honestly want him to be President. That being the case Kucinich is it. He's all we have left and he still DOES have a chance.
