make the senate seem like a pit of spite and jealousy.

The way Kerry took down his former running mate, Edwards
early on, and now going after Clinton.

Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 06:40 PM by Beacool
With Obama's minuscule record in the US senate, if he had been an average very junior senator, the leadership would have told him to sit his butt back until he actually had some gravitas and had paid his dues. To me, he's the candidate of smoke and mirrors. All fluff, but no substance. I prefer Hillary, but I would take Edwards a million times over Obama.

I don't trust slick operators......

46. no "other"? It is youth and other stuff.
He is from an entirely different generation/perspective. Kennedy was also relatively youthful and it was talked about in that campaign.

It is the "outsider class" thing. There had been no Catholic as president. There have been no blacks as president.

They are both prone to making sweeping type speeches.

Those are the similarities that I see.

55. the story behind that
Some bizarre idea surfaced in the Health Forum from people that wanted to censor "dangerous" YouTube videos about vaccines. I was accused of being a "libertarian" because I happen to like the First Amendment. That was scary enough that I made the First Amendment picture and added the JFK quotation.
