Hey Hillary. I will see your Rezko and raise you a Peter Paul,

The federal government's criminal case is largely built around the claims of Peter Paul, an ex-convict who turned on the Clintons after producing a lavish Hollywood fund-raiser for Mrs. Clinton in 2000. Specifically, he claims that Mrs. Clinton's campaign staff did not disclose that he had spent nearly $2 million on the event, money that should have been reported as a contribution to Mrs. Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign.

Mr. Paul said he organized and served as a co-host for the affair - a star-studded gala that charged $1,000 a person - to win former President Bill Clinton's support for Stan Lee Media, an Internet venture he had started with Mr. Lee, the co-creator of Spider-Man.

"An ex-president is the best rainmaker you can get," Mr. Paul said in a recent telephone interview from his apartment in North Carolina, where he is free on bail while awaiting sentencing in an unrelated criminal case.

But Mr. Paul says the Clintons and their associates turned their backs on him after The Washington Post disclosed his criminal past, which includes his guilty plea in 1979 to cocaine possession and an attempt to defraud the government of Fidel Castro out of millions of dollars.

Let the record show Rezko is under indictment while Mr. Paul is actually convicted.

10. How about Hillary and Rupert Murdoch!

In the summer of 2005, Richard Johnson, the editor of the New York Post’s feared Page Six column, was having trouble getting a new passport to fly out to a party being hosted by Sean (P. Diddy) Combs in Saint-Tropez.

So he did what any citizen would do: He made a direct appeal to the office of junior New York Senator Hillary Clinton.

“Richard Johnson found the bureaucracy delaying his passport, and he appealed to Clinton’s staff for help, as any constituent would,” said Howard Rubenstein, who is a spokesman for the Post. “And he secured, in a legal and proper way, a passport that he was entitled to.

“There were no favors,” Mr. Rubenstein added.

(“While we’re very proud of our constituent services, we don’t comment on individual cases,” said Philippe Reines, a spokesman for Senator Clinton.)

The question of favors has been a big one lately at Page Six. Last week, the column pre-empted one of its former employees, Jared Paul Stern, in his efforts to make public a series of accusations about ethical lapses among the column’s staff, by printing an item themselves outlining all of the accusations.

12. I'm familiar with the story...
and know the details. He's a con man. Otherwise, why would he have bothered to video tape a phone conversation with Hillary....he was planning to set them up. Simple as that.

They also found nothing to charge Hillary for. Go look for that info. It's out there.

15. That is the not the question, the Clinton's are playing the guilt by association game. . .
. . .with Rezko. Obama has not been accused of any wrong doing either. The simple question is did Peter Paul host a fund raiser for Hillary?

By the guilt by association standards the Clintons are using this is fair game.

23. No, the question IS
did Paul set up the Clintons, and I say he did. Period. I'm looking at it objectively, you're not.

Did Rezko set up Obama? I don't think so....

25. Exactly . . .
. . .I don't think there is a dispute about whether or not he hosted a fund raiser for Hillary. Which is all that is necessary to to show that this whole guilt by association thing they are using for Rezko can cut both ways.

I really think when the Republicans start letting loose with all this, the country is just going to get nauseated and say not again.

28. So, holding a fundraiser is WORSE than a 17-year relationship
with a guy??

And the Clintons turned their backs on him when they discovered his shady dealings?

Sounds like they did the right thing, but leave it to the porr confused people wandering around in BarakWorld to make the nright thing seem like the wrong thing.

friggin' 4-8 years with scandals, investigations and wondering where the "first man" and interns are....

Ugh...its like living in a bad nightmare all over again.... :puke:
