Karl Rove's Most successful tactic
Find the opponent's strength and attack it.

E.g., if your opponent is a war hero, attack him as being a coward.

if your opponent has a 100% rating in terms of women's rights, attack him on women's rights. Doesn't matter if they are lies or not -- just attack attack attack.

Worked in 2000, worked in 2004. Worked before those dates in Texas.

Anybody see any parallels in 2008?

4. And if your opponent is beloved in the black community, call her a racist
"The Clinton's are racists" is exactly like "Kerry was a coward."

7. No matter who is doing it,
The average Joe Shmoe doesn't have the TIME to track down all the lies. It's turned politics into a nightmare.

9. "Joe Public" doesn't have the resources to track down the corrections
or the retractions.

Say it once, get the "news" to repeat it for several nights in a row, and the damage is done.
